Chinatown (Petaling Street) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is a hotspot for all your Chinese food needs in Malaysia! We take you around to the best Chinese street food spots in KL! First we started by visiting a 70 year old stall famous for selling raw fish congee. I had never tried this dish before and was unsure exactly how to eat it. However once biting into the soft fish I fell in love! This was the best dish of the day for sure! The fragrant sesame oil and ginger flavour combined with the smooth congee and subtle seafood flavour makes my mouth water writing this right now! Address: Hon Kee Porridge Petaling Street 93, Jalan Hang Lekir, City Centre, Kuala Lumpur Our second stop was for some famous clam (La La) noodles! This restaurant was packed full of locals and featured many different stalls selling typical Malay Chinese food! We went straight for the famous noodle stall. The broth was incredibly rich and spicy, again with lots of ginger. Unfortunately the clams did not taste fresh at all and were full of gritty sand. Address: Lai Foong Lala Noodle 1953, Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, City Centre, Kuala Lumpur
