Chipa Almidon: A Staple of Paraguayan Cuisine!😋

Our version of Chipa Almidon (aka Chipa Paraguaya or Chipa) boasts a fluffy and cheesy interior with a crunchy exterior. When developing our recipe, we found that baking powder helped increase the volume and lighten the Chipa. In addition, adding powdered milk enhances the flavor and overall texture; using Buttermilk helps keeps it moist and tender. In Paraguay, most Chipa are usually round, but we found diagonal shapes were easier and quicker to make.
