### Coconut Macaroons
**Ingredients:**
- 2 1/2 cups shredded sweetened coconut
- 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
- 2 large egg whites
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
**Instructions:**
1. **Preheat the oven:** Set your oven to 325°F (163°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. **Mix the coconut base:** In a large bowl, combine the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and almond extract if using. Mix until well combined.
3. **Whip the egg whites:** In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites and salt until stiff peaks form.
4. **Fold in egg whites:** Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the coconut mixture until well combined.
