### Fried Pickles
**Ingredients:**
- 1 cup dill pickle slices
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Optional: ranch or your favorite dipping sauce
**Instructions:**
1. **Prepare the pickles:** Drain the pickle slices and pat them dry with paper towels.
2. **Soak in buttermilk:** Place the pickle slices in a bowl and pour the buttermilk over them. Let them soak for about 15 minutes.
3. **Mix dry ingredients:** In a separate bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
4. **Heat the oil:** In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat about 1-2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 375°F (190°C).
5. **Coat the pickles:** Remove the pickle slices from the buttermilk, letting the excess drip off, and dredge them in the flour mixture until well coated.
6. **Fry the pickles:** Fry the pickles in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain.
7. **Serve:** Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
