This November, the Tony Award-winning John Kander, Fred Ebb, and Bob Fosse musical

Chicago, will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Broadway. And to kick off the celebration, they are throwing a one-night-only free concert

in Central Park on August 31st, and we drop by the Ambassador Theater

to give you a sneak peek. This is so exciting. Tell me what's happening here today

Well, Barry said, Barry Weisler said he wanted to celebrate 20 years by doing a free concert in the park for New Yorkers

And he wanted to turn it into a party. So rather than do our regular show, we're doing our regular show

We're doing all the numbers. But we've invited a lot of special guests from different parts of the arts community

Children's chorus. Choir from Harlem. I don't want to give away the secrets

but a special guest from the New York City press community city officials It going to be a fun night And some of the roles that are ordinarily played by one person will be played by two or three

people. We're taking Chicago and we're making it a party in the park

Oh don't worry about me, it's just that I'm gonna have a baby

A baby! Shit! This is our 20th year on Broadway, and we've become a landmark

People know Chicago as a stopping point in New York City. So what better way or place to celebrate but Central Park, another landmark of New York

We're expecting thousands of people tomorrow. Come on out, have a good time, and see a concert version of Chicago

We're doing part of Razzle Dazzle. We're doing all that jazz and we're doing Me and My Baby

Freaking out you're in the Ambassador Theater now. Yeah, this is crazy. I mean, it's the great best opportunity I've ever had in my life

Like, oh my God, I got the jazz hands down. I think I could be on Broadway. Crown in on each other. Be a mob. Be close. Right on top of each other. Sit in there

I mean we have just started scratched the surface on presenting theater at our venue This is the third production that we done And for it to be the 20th anniversary of Chicago we are just like on edge and so excited

Yeah, we're thrilled. This is a landmark musical, so essential park and where you are

What a beautiful combination. It's a great collaboration. I mean, it's just the perfect synergy

This production has a 20-year history. They know what they're doing. We know what we're doing

We know how to present in parks. they know how to present a Broadway musical, so it's a perfect marriage

to have her baby born in jail. I can assure you you shall come to trial
