Hey everybody, my name is Kennedy Kanagawa. I play Milky White and Into the Woods on Broadway

and this is my first of three vlogs where I will be taking you exclusively behind the scenes at the St. James Theater

Today is Friday, and that means Dollar Friday, which is a really fun tradition that I didn't know about until I started working on Into the Woods

And basically, a lot of Broadway houses do this where every Friday, which is the middle of the work week

someone will go around to everyone that works at the theater, and anyone can play, that means

actors, stage managers, orchestra members, ushers, security guards, and you can buy as many raffle tickets as you want for a dollar per ticket

and you write your name on the tickets that you buy and add it to the pot

Then at intermission, one ticket is drawn, and whoever's name is on the ticket wins all the money

that went towards buying the raffle tickets beforehand. It's really fun, and some people have been winning a lot of money
