Video: The Kid Critics Take Bite Out of THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR SHOW

Hi, I'm at the GR2 Theater and I'm about to see the Very Hungry Caterpillar

See you soon! The Very Hungry Caterpillar show was about four of Eric Carle's children's books

Those including Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? The Ten Little Ducklings, The Very Lonely Firefly, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar

And it all comes to life by actors and very cool lighting and tons of awesome puppets

and interaction with the audience. I've read The Very Hungry Caterpillar book before and no matter how many times I read

it, it always used to make me laugh. And there were little holes in the food that he ate in the book and I always used to put

my finger in the hole pretending like my finger was the caterpillar

My mom used to read them to me when I was little and so did my teachers at school and

I even heard them at story time. The puppets, you could see all the mechanics behind them even, but some didn't even show

that they had any mechanics to them. It was beautiful, it made my heart swell with joy and I really liked how creative it was

It's not just the stories, it's the way the stories are told. I've never found such inspiration in a show that you could ever put in it

I loved the puppets from The Very Hungry Caterpillar show. My favorite was the butterfly at the end, but the flamingo from The Ten Little Rubber

Ducks was a close second because I loved it because there were two people controlling

it and one was flapping its feet around and the other was controlling its head and he

was moving it like this. My favorite character was The Very Hungry Caterpillar because I loved how he kept on

eating and he was still hungry. I feel like that sometimes because I eat something and I still feel kind of hungry after

And I love how he moved and he was like so wiggly and I just love that

Well I have a lot of favorite puppets like the dolphin, the whale, the caterpillar and

I really like the fruit that they have the pop to tip

If I was Very Hungry Caterpillar and I got to have a Saturday feast, I would have broccoli

because it's my favorite food, french onion soup, french fries, sauerkraut, fresh mozzarella

cheese, a big meatball, and to top it all off, an ice cream sundae with whipped cream

sprinkles and a cherry on top. And maybe a little bit more broccoli too

Well I would have like, a lot of the foods that the caterpillar had sounds good like

pickles, chocolate cake, cupcake, lollipop, and cherry pie

It's delicious. If I had a Saturday feast like the caterpillar, I would eat rice, chicken, fries, and cotton

candy for dessert because I love cotton candy. Yes, I think other kids would love going to the Very Hungry Caterpillar show, especially

kids 5 and under because it's sort of like going to the most amazing story time you could

ever imagine. I think kids would love the Very Hungry Caterpillar because it's like their favorite book coming

to life and I love how it was so creative. You can see the Very Hungry Caterpillar show in New York City at the DR2 Theater and on
