I just came from my matinee, Back to the Future, and to be in another Broadway house to see something brand new, that's what this is about

This new season and this new creative imagination magic world that we're doing

I'm so excited to support Antonio. He's making his Broadway debut tonight. That is amazing

Some of Broadway's favorites came out to celebrate the Broadway debut of Global Sensation Antonio Diaz

El Mbago Pop. You know, it's not often first that you get a Hispanic, Latin show on Broadway

And for it to be the top in Europe, it's very special for all of us

And I'm just thrilled. I love illusion, so I cannot wait to see what he does

Wait till you see. I think you're going to be like, how does he do that

I've seen a little bit of YouTube. But I still am stumped

I have no clue how he does any of them. But they're amazing stunts. We're here to learn how he does it

I'm very excited. I've never seen a magic show on Broadway. I've never seen El Mago Pop

And I'm very excited to be at the Barrymore Theater, which is going to be my new home very, very soon

Harmony comes in here next. Yes, we open for previews October 18th

and we open November 13th, I think that. We'll be there. Yeah, I'm just going to

I'm gonna tell, I mean, show up when they tell me to show up. Show up, just tell people to show up. You just finished a matinee of something like it hot, right? Yes, I did

How excited are you to be here tonight? I'm very excited. I mean, how often

I've only seen like, three or four magic shows in my life and never on Broadway

So I'm very excited to be here for something new and different. And I want to figure out how stuff works

I'm very excited. I'm very excited. I'm going getting blind a little bit. I don't know too much, but I love magic and love illusions

I think theater is also a great way to have that experience. I'm very excited. Fresh coming off from a show. So I'm very excited

I love this. All of you are arriving from doing a show. You just left the Neil Simon from wowing audiences as Michael Jackson and MJ

I mean, then you're changing. Now you're here for an opening. Yeah. I mean, it's so exciting

I think all of us on Broadway have the same schedules, right? So we never get a chance to really support each other sometimes

And so the fact this is happening, and we're all here. I'm seeing friends. It's just amazing

I'm very, very excited. It must be really great to finish a fabulous Broadway show, change your clothes

come up here for a Broadway opening. Yeah, yeah, I'm really excited. I can't wait to see what this has in store

He is so talented. Wait till you see what he does. And he's making his Broadway debut, yeah

Oh my gosh, this is amazing. Yeah, I think it's so cool for someone to bring. bring a show like this to Broadway, you know

and I jump at the chance to see something different and unique like this, you know

It's hard to get up your nerve to go to see another Broadway musical after you just finished a Broadway musical but to go see a Broadway magic show easy piece of cake Growing up was magic ever on your radar Like maybe I could be John the Magnificent I mean I definitely like bought a couple of crappy magic kits that I tried

and realized how incredibly hard it was and immediately abandoned it. I better sing and dance and learn to act

Yeah, yeah. Like, I knew a couple of card tricks at one point, and they've gone by the wayside, sadly

I'm so excited. I grew up watching magic shows, so I'm just, and then he's from Spain, too

so it's a win-win. How excited are you to be here tonight? I'm so excited

I'm so happy to be here. I can't wait to see some magic. Do you love magic? I love it and illusions and everything

so this is totally my speed. I live for the theater. These are my favorite nights

and I'm just so happy to be here surrounded by all my friends. I've already seen so many pals. So this is the greatest

Well, you brought up on magic. Was that something you made me before you became an actress you maybe wanted to do

or were you fascinated with the world of magic? Yeah, of course. Weren't we all

I think we all had those little boxes and those tricks that you would learn with the cards and, like, everything

And I think this is just going to be something that is beyond anything we could possibly imagine

Or the handkerchief that comes out of the cane? Yeah, yeah. Or the bunny that comes out of the hat

Why not? I'm so excited. I'm in town for a month. And so to be able to come see the show and see Magic actually for the first time ever live for me

Yeah. I mean, it's so exciting. I feel like magic is, like there's so much to learn from it

You know, like theater writers, like, as a theater writer, I'm always like looking to see how I can surprise the audience

what you have to do like where do you like you know take people by surprise And like I just like so looking forward to like seeing that and experiencing as an audience And yeah I just so excited

Wait till you see what El Mago Pop Antonio Diaz does. You're going to be like, how does he do that

I can't wait. I cannot wait. Yeah. We're both like, ah, we don't know anything about it, so we're just going in blind

I love that. When did you first fall in love with magic? I mean, I've been on Broadway, right

That's the most magical place. And he's making his Broadway debut tonight, too

I know, and, you know, people are like, oh, there's not a lot of illusionists or magic on Broadway, but there's a lot of magic on Broadway

And this is just another magical show, so I'm excited to see it. I hope you sit by me so that we could go

okay, so here's how he did this. He did this, and that's what I'll be doing

I may whisper it in the strip persons next to me ear, too, just to be that guy. I know

I want to create a community of people who are... Who just ruin magicists

I don't know if I want a whole community. No, too late. I did not coast

That's too much. How many years ago was it? I saw one magic show that was on Broadway

This isn't the first. A couple of times it's made it. And I absolutely love it. I think that Broadway should be an example of all different kinds of theatrical art forms represented

Be it magic, be it even stand-up, anything. As long as it's highly theatrical, I think it should have

have a place, so I'm excited to see it. I'd ask Amber if she knew about Antonio, and she says, no, I don't want to hear anything

about him until I see him. Oh, you haven't heard him? Oh, okay

I just heard magic, and then I said yes. Will there be food? They said no, and I said, okay, I'll show up
