I am so happy. You're sitting in my chair, my friend, God. Richie. This is crazy. It's Tony Nomination day
0:11
Look at you. I got one. I got one. So when they pinned that on you
0:15
like what I was like, what is happening? This is so surreal. It's like Eddie Redmayne
0:19
like walking behind me. I'm like, what is happening? Yeah, it's crazy. Yeah
0:23
What does this nomination mean to you? It means the world. Apparently. I'm one of the first native Americans nominated for a Tony Awards
0:28
That's pretty cool, you know. Yeah. The world is changing for the better
0:32
for the better. What's made this show so special? You worked on some wonderful things
0:37
Yeah, I think it's just telling the truth. I think that it's, it's seeing the kids that are in the shadows and
0:42
and bringing them out and just telling a story that's been told for 60 years
0:46
but in a different way, you know, and just watching how this is affecting audiences
0:50
Yeah. It's just, it's, I never thought this would happen. I, I didn't think that that this would
0:54
this day would come, but it did and they really love it. It's it's surreal
0:58
It's surreal to step out of it and look and see how much the kids love it. Were you able to watch any of the
1:02
show during tech where you could step out? No, because during everything, yeah, I've never seen the show
1:06
I've never seen the show. So I'm so excited to one day. Call out or when I leave the show
1:10
see what, what it, what it's all about. Yeah. So, can you put today into perspective
1:14
Yeah, it's so wild. I'm trying to drop back into my body
1:18
But when I found that I got nominated, I was like running around my apartment 50 times and call my mom being like
1:22
read this list. Make sure my name is actually on it because I think it's not, is it? And she's like it is
1:26
It is. Yeah, this is a big day. Everybody's here. All different generations
1:31
Who do you hope to bump into today? And, and why I have hoped to bump into Eddie Redmayne obviously
1:37
because I just want to pick his brain. I think he's such a genius and I've been looking up to him for years
1:41
So I would love that also. Red is my favorite play and he did Red years ago
1:44
And so that play I wanna know about. Yeah
