So how excited are you? What does this all mean to you
0:03
Well, it's rather astonishing, actually. I never suspected that anything like this would happen
0:09
You know, we're usually behind the scenes, and we're proud of our designers who win Tony Awards
0:15
But everyone says, oh, have you ever gotten a Tony? Well, no, no, I'm not eligible to get a Tony
0:20
So it must be so wonderful because you're the people that make the clothes
0:24
You take the designs from them. And we sit in the audience and watch your beautiful work
0:29
It's just as important as the designer who designed it. So you're going to have a Tony Award
0:34
I know. I know. Who knew? Where are you going to put it? Do you know where you're going to put it
0:38
Oh, I hadn't thought about that. I'll probably actually put it in the shop
0:42
Well, that's good. You know, because it isn't only me. Yeah. It's all the people
0:48
You know, I have a lot of people who work for me. Sure. And my job is collaborative on several levels
0:56
And just working in a theater, what it means to you? Well, I was almost born in a trunks
1:02
My parents had always worked in the theater. And so as a child, I kind of ended up working
1:09
And my father was an actor. And if he didn't have a job, he'd start a theater
1:14
So I would work in those theaters. And I was an actress for a while
1:18
And then I decided, you know what? There are way less people making costumes than there are, you know, 23-year-old actresses
