We just love to support our community, and we love to uplift and literally amplify our writers and our members and our musicians, and just have a great night for a great cause
0:30
Meister Music is an organization that supports the female and gender non-conforming or non-binary artists and musical theater makers of Broadway
0:43
And they are a service organization for these artists and they really focus on collaboration and community and service and visibility for these artists
0:53
What really unique about Meister Amplify is this is a fundraising concert It an opportunity for for us to showcase Maistram members and their music that they written as well as we have an all Maestro house band as well as other guest performers
1:10
And it's really an opportunity for us to share with our community, kind of what we're doing and
1:16
what we're up to and the goals that we have and also raise some money for this great organization
1:27
I first got involved with Maestra by joining the directory and putting myself out there on it
1:33
Later, I took some masterclasses that they offered virtually during the pandemic
1:38
And I have also used them, their Maestra Cares program, to help support other women in the industry
1:45
If you know, they're going through something or they're celebrating something, and that's a really cute touch to Maestra that I really like
1:57
The song that you just heard is I believe from the loophole by myself and Jayadonna It is a Civil War musical that is kind of cookie crazy Not uh and um sort of a crazy sci kind of piece
2:13
And it was me and Antoine Hopper performing. It's so amazing to have our work featured in this concert, to have a full orchestra
2:21
and a huge audience at Sony Hall. So it really is a dream come true
2:26
Um, and it's such a big help when you're trying to produce independent. theater to have organizations that you can rely on to lift up your voice
2:38
Things that you can look forward to with Maestra not only Amplify, which is their yearly
2:43
fundraising concert, but throughout the year, Maestra has a lot of programs. They have a
2:47
mentorship program. They have a mom's program, a student maestras. There's all sorts of different
2:53
ways to get involved. They have the Maestra technical workshops that anyone can purchase
2:59
to watch on various aspects of music whether it programming or orchestrating or performing subbing et cetera And they give a lot of talks and opportunities for development personal development as well as a
3:13
great directory if you're looking for to hire a band or find an orchestrator, et cetera
3:19
So it's just a great community to be a part of all year round. So something that people can look forward to
3:31
to it, Meister Amplifies. We have an all Maestra House band. These are all Broadway players. They're
3:37
going to come in and rock out for you. We've got songs written by Maestra. We have Maestra performers and
3:44
Maestra Adjacent performers. The venue is beautiful. We have custom projections and it's just
