Character Breakdown: HEATHERS Cast Unpacks Their Roles

Oh, so I'm playing Veronica Sawyer, who is a girl from Springfield, Ohio

And she meets this young lad, this character in the play and her world changes

I like that. Yes, and I'm JD. I have just stopped through the town

I'm kind of a drifter. I've kind of moved a lot of different places because of my dad's job

and now I've landed here, and this girl really, really interests me

So we might start some shenanigans that might be good and might be bad

I play Heather Duke, and I really love how ambitious she is

I play Heather Chandler what do I love about Heather Chandler she's a hard one

she's powerful, she's a powerful woman that's all I'll say I play Heather Mack and I think

deep down she really does have a kind heart and I think she's brought into a lot of situations

she doesn't necessarily support so yeah, I do think she's a kind person

in there I'm playing Martha Dunstock and she is just the sweetest

person you would ever meet. She reminds me of myself when I was in high school

Just wanted to have a better world and be nice to people and

form friendships and connections and things like that. She's so fun. She's so sweet

And for you? So I am Miss Fleming and I am Veronica's mom

and Miss Fleming is kind of like the kooky teacher who definitely wants to make the world a better place and went it teaching for a good reason but has completely gotten lost because her husband left her all this stuff But then she finds her purpose in the show and she lifting everybody up and

enjoying the spotlight at the same time. I am playing Ram Sweeney opposite Kurt right here

Um, and I love, uh, how far we get to go. Our characters are so silly. We get to co-sign each

other's nonsense um so i think we're just really pushing the envelope and seeing how far we can go

and that's always it's so exciting i play kurt kelly and what i love most is cram i love him

it's so fun yeah yeah cram forever um i play kurt's dad veronica's dad and principal gowan

as well as a big fun team um what i love about them all is that i get to do them and and they're

all so different, and it's so fun to be tasked with making every character different. You know

a lot of different voices, a lot of different energies, and all of that, so it's really cool

to kind of bring my own presence into four different people and see how that goes. So yeah

I'm playing a coach. I'm playing Ram's father, and I'm playing JD's dad, Big Bud

My favorite part is that as Ram's dad, opposite Kurt's dad, we get to have a very special moment

and I love my dead gay son. It's going to be epic, epic

It's going to be so cool when you play multiple roles in a show, right? Yeah, I mean, minus the changing

But, no, every scene is a different adventure. And you get to land somewhere else every night

and find somewhere else to go every night, and that's the joy. I'm considering my preparation to do something like

Portrait of Dorian Gray or something like that. This is on my way to doing a one-man show with like 60 characters

Oh, I'm there for that one. I don't know how she does that. I don't know how that happens
