Hello everyone, welcome to Qt blogging and today I will show you how you can add a WhatsApp
0:04
chat button to your WordPress website. So let me just show you how it works
0:09
So this is your website and this is the WhatsApp chat button
0:13
So when I click on it, it will show a message like this. And when I click on it, it will redirect to the WhatsApp app
0:20
And if you are using desktop, then it will redirect to the WhatsApp web
0:24
So let's check how you can integrate this WhatsApp chat button to your WordPress website
0:29
So go to your WordPress dashboard and here in the plugin section, click on add new
0:36
And here in the search button, search for join.chat. Now you will see this plugin
0:45
So click on install. Okay. Now click on activate to start adding the WhatsApp chat button to your WordPress website
0:57
Now you have to click on the setting here and it will ask you to add the phone number
1:03
so you can add a phone number. So let me just add an example phone number here. Okay
1:12
Now scroll down and you can set the WhatsApp chat button. So leave this default and you can set the position either in left position or right position
1:24
So I will select right and you can set a button delay
1:29
So let me just add it to five seconds. Now scroll down and click on the save changes
1:39
Now go to the front end and click on refresh. Okay. The WhatsApp chat button is added
1:46
So it will show after five seconds. So as you can see, the WhatsApp chat button is showing
1:51
And when I click on it, it will take me to the WhatsApp website
1:56
So let's check some additional setting that you can add in this WhatsApp chat button
2:01
So go to the dashboard and here you can select the open WhatsApp web directly on desktop
2:07
And here you can add a call to action button. So let me just type this
2:15
Now scroll down and you can select whether it will work on dark mode or not
2:21
So here I will select auto. So it will automatically detect the dark mode and switch the appearance of the button
2:29
And here I will select WhatsApp logo. And here in the chat delay, I will select the five seconds
2:36
So it will automatically open the chat window after five seconds. And I will select the page views to one
2:44
Now save changes. Now let's refresh this page. So let's wait for five seconds
2:55
So it will show the WhatsApp chat button and here click on it
2:59
It will show a message like this. How can I help you
3:02
So you can change this text from here. Call to action. You can also add some variables like site URL or title
3:11
So it will automatically enter the site title and the URL of that page
3:17
And the title of that page in this message. So you can edit this in this box
3:23
And if you want to add a predefined message. So when a user click on the button and land on the WhatsApp page, this message will automatically
3:31
type in the WhatsApp. So you can set this like, I need more info about title or URL
3:38
So you can add a custom message here. So user can easily ask about the query without even typing in the WhatsApp
3:46
So here in the tooltip, you can edit like need help. And let's save this again
3:58
Now let's refresh this page. Okay. It will show this button after five seconds
4:05
So let's wait. And here, as you can see, when I hover over this, it will show a message like need help
4:13
And when I click on it, it will show this message. And when I click on the open chat button, it will take me to the WhatsApp web
4:21
I hope you got the idea how this chat button works. And you can also add some additional setting in this plugin
4:29
So go to the dashboard and here click on visibility. And here you can set the visibility of this button
4:37
So let me just hide this in 404 pages. And let me just hide this in author archive pages
4:44
So click on save. And let's test this if it is working or not
4:51
So I will type something like this. And let's open a 404 pages
4:57
And here as you can see, the chat button is not showing in the 404 pages
5:02
So go to the homepage again. So in this way, you can redirect your website visitors to your WhatsApp account and increase
5:10
your sales. And if you want to know more about WordPress related tutorials, then you can watch this playlist
