you kind of let me know at that time that you had heard some rumors but we couldn't talk about it we couldn't say

specifically what they were but the rumors were about the Giant's possible interest in Stafford so let's go back to

that that time and and start from there yeah so the Rams were two and four

before they played the Minnesota Vikings and um in week seven so the expectation

I think was that the Rams would have a hard time winning that game that was a week before the trade deadline and I had

been told that the Giants were in discussions about Matthew Stafford at that time the Rams upset the Vikings and

that seemed to change things at that at that time so that was so the first inkling that I had that they were even

um flirting with the possibility of Stafford was

midseason last year 2024 so what's interesting about that is at that time

Daniel Jones was still very much the starting quarterback of the New York Giants and their Giants were make not

making any noise that they were going to bench him which they eventually did at the bye so with that if those rumors

the fact that I pay attention to the if the person has a track record or not

obvious push from last year the Rams wanted Matthew to tell them he was
