[Music]
0:23
All right Well welcome back to another edition of Inside BBI with John and Eric live Uh it is it is a Monday night after
0:31
an interesting weekend of of a lot of stuff to be quite honest But uh Eric uh we are back and I know I've got
0:37
something to drink this time because we recorded it on Saturday in the morning There was no beer at 9:00 in the morning but I do have a Two Bloss Wicked Throat
0:44
Charmer IPA Went with this one So there you go It's uh it's pretty tasty Yeah it's fancy Yeah I've got a fancy one My
0:52
wife picked up something Belgian abbey style blonde al abbe devoclair I my
0:59
French is terrible So I've got something very fancy um with a monk on it So nice
1:05
Well to in honor of France you have a white flag hanging on the wall over there So yes we get invaded we could
1:11
just start waving that flag anyway Anyway get a bad rap French get anyway won't
1:17
get anyway that just just being humorous Just kidding Don't get mad at us if
1:23
there are any f we have we have we know we had somebody from Italy watching us So we have an international audience
1:29
That is true We we did indeed Um so we we are back We are live and uh we're
1:35
going to do a wide receiver breakdown We kind of touched on a lot of it on the OTAA piece but we're going to break down just the wide receivers themselves Let's
1:41
go through the the whole group and uh then we'll take what we want to do questions to chat We this will go either
1:48
you know a full hour or who knows maybe it's 45 minutes We're like you know what there we go We're It's a wrap We're
1:53
going to play it by ear But that being said Eric uh the OTAA video really did is done really well actually Yeah I was
2:00
shocked It's like oh get over 2,000 views We should have we we both agree we
2:06
should have done it sooner A lot of stuff was going on I was bouncing back and forth between South Carolina Vermont and Maine for graduations and stuff So I
2:12
was all over the place Uh we have a lot going on But that being said there was there's I'll say this I did a clip I
2:18
took one of the clips where we were talking about Daniel Jones and I cut it down even further It was a short and I
2:24
cut it down even further just specifically about and I'm gonna I'm saying you but we're both on the same
2:29
page I'm not setting Eric up as you're the bad guy and I'm not We're on the same page where we basically teed up the
2:36
receivers Sllayton which I saw a video today of his specific press conference
2:41
piece The things that he's talking about about a catchable ball Robinson saying it the same thing and just how they
2:46
noticed the difference I put that clip up I am shocked Eric We had a number of comments that really kind of went back
2:52
at us about being mean to Daniel Jones that it's Oh there Oh yeah Yeah In
2:58
comments on on the on the short video I saw one Was there more no there's more There's more It was a cheap shot Well I
3:04
think one was said it was it's a cheap way of getting back at Daniel Jones I'm like were you not watching for six years
3:10
like what what happened is is this like is this like stock we're being mean
3:15
We're being We were being mean We are being mean for pointing that out All right All right Look I was I defended Daniel Jones for a number of years
3:22
saying you had to give him time We The Giants gave him time Gave him way more time than is normal now And he didn't
3:28
and he and he and look you may think we're mean but the Giants are being mean
3:36
too because they have been saying everything but coming out and saying we had a quarterback problem So right if
3:44
you if you if you listen to all their commentary since the end of the year
3:50
general manager the head coach and now some of the players they won't say
3:55
Daniel Jones but they will say things like
4:02
"We notice things are different now and or we know we had a problem and now we
4:09
fixed the problem." And I've actually been very surprised at the honesty with Shane And now you may not agree with
4:15
Shane and Dable either but they've basically been saying and their actions have spoken even louder than their words
4:22
They brought everybody back but Daniel Jones Everybody's back They basically
4:27
said Daniel Now they may be wrong If Daniel Jones if if what are we calling
4:33
him now indiana Jones lights it up with the Colts I always said the Giant if they pull another Barkley here then
4:41
everyone's going to be eating Crow But look I I've been watching football since
4:47
my teens And I'm an old man now I know what quarterbacks are supposed to look
4:52
like They don't they're not supposed to look like Daniel Jones I'm sorry if you don't like that And they're learning the
4:58
players are learning that And he and and and Sllayton Sllayton is the homer of
5:04
homers for Daniel Jones go watch his press conference last week and you tell me you tell me what the the message is
5:12
there because Johnny had just just showed a clip too He's not dissing Daniel Jones but he's saying
5:19
there's a difference There's a you know there's a new sheriff in town and there's a difference Yeah Quarterback
5:25
He's at the end of his career You we're not talking about Russell Wilson from 10 years ago We're talking about Russell
5:30
Wilson He's got a year left or two years left So sorry You can't you can't mistake or um
5:38
project other stuff into what Sllayton said If you just literally listen to what he
5:45
said he didn't go Daniel Jones is bad He said what was really different about
5:52
Russell Wilson Those two things when you look at it are are are basically the
5:58
same thing It's kind of like passive resistance You're not you're not saying no you just don't do it In this case
6:04
he's not saying Daniel Jones sucks He just said "Man it's a lot better We could catch the ball It's where you're"
6:10
And he also said the key point to this there are there are plays where sometimes you're you're supposed to run
6:15
out where the play is not design not designed to go to you But there are
6:21
times where depending on what happens the ball might go to you When they were doing it with before
6:29
they knew the ball was never coming to them the ball was going to go wherever it was is going to go short It wasn't
6:34
coming to them And after a while it gets harder and harder to just run those routes when you know it ain't happening
6:40
Now you can't do that That was Sllayton's big thing He goes "That ball might come to you." Russell Wilson's
6:45
telling him it might come to you You're being very diplomatic here He said for
6:52
all intents and purposes the rest of the receivers knew in many
6:57
situations that he wouldn't even look at them he would So they knew were running their routes and they knew there was no
7:03
chance that he would throw the ball in their direction and until Wilson told
7:09
them since he's been there no no no no I may come back to you you better still be running your routes He Darius Sllayton
7:17
who's the biggest Daniel Jones homer for all intents and purposes said Daniel Jones won't even use two of the other
7:25
receivers on the field maybe more So now the receivers are are you think this
7:30
would in the NFL we're talking about the National Football League are now they think they might get the ball in any
7:37
situation now So you're being way too you said it everything you said was correct John but it's even worse than
7:44
that He's basically saying he's opened up the whole field now because he was saying you know if coverage is a certain
7:51
way the ball actually may be coming to you don't assume I'm not throwing you the football And and Darius Sllayton
7:57
said "We knew in a lot of situations that we wouldn't be throwing the ball."
8:05
And he kind of hinted at didn't he kind of hint at that there are some guys that wouldn't be like him that might not even
8:12
run their routes the Oh there was no without a doubt Without a doubt So so again you know what's in the back of my
8:18
head and again this is I think if you're gonna go Jaylen Hyatt's go so people have said
8:25
I've been to the games and you watch Jaylen Hillet and he's not even running routes Well Jaylen Hyatt knows the ball
8:33
and probably knows the ball's not coming to him in in these in these situations So that's and Darius was saying some
8:39
people like me even though I know I'm not going to get the get the the ball I'm still running my routes full speed
8:45
So it was it was really it was really bad If you think about again we don't
8:52
want to put too too much on one small snippet of things that are being said
8:58
overall but if you really think it through right football is not a game of
9:04
just the the court any play any position But for now we're talking quarterback is the quarterback takes a snap he just
9:10
drops back and he throws to the guy that the play was designed to and that's it And nothing else that happens on the
9:15
field has any impact That's all Everything impacts what happens in a game Imagine if and I you are more of a
9:23
I don't mean to say this in a negative way You're more of a J you're more of a Jaylen Hyatt Yeah defender than I am Are
9:29
you and we and I think that's fair to say I'm just simply saying we don't have the full story on him
9:34
Exactly I'm And I'm I'm I'm giving you a little bit of credit here So I have been more harsh about Hayyatt than you have
9:40
You've been like well let's see and you know we got this If you think about it right if you put Jaylen Hyde on a field
9:47
and part of what you want from him because he doesn't have a huge tree of of route possibilities is to take the
9:53
top off right i want you running down a field I need to pull the defense back the ball If they don't you might be open
10:00
but after a while right here's Jaylen Hyatt We know he's got a little bit of a Okay we think he has a little bit of an
10:06
attitude about what he thinks he is versus what maybe other people think he is And if he's not getting the ball you
10:12
could see where he might pout So if you're pull if you're busting past people and you're busting past people
10:18
and the ball never comes to you after a while and that's your only job by the way then after a while when you get on
10:25
the field you don't run as hard so you're not getting open The coaches are watching you They know Jones didn't
10:31
throw the ball but they can only blame so much there because you didn't run your route If you let people not run
10:37
their route then you're letting you you basically told everybody else they don't have to run the route It becomes a
10:42
cascading effect and you start doing it So now you're tipping players off So you got to you got to jog out there Jaylen
10:48
Hayatt who knows I'm going to go down the field He's going to throw it over there to Wandell you know but I'm just
10:53
going to run But now I'm not really even trying I'm not because I'm not I'm not getting open It just affects everything
10:59
else And again we're projecting we're not in the locker room We're not on the field We don't know that Glenn Parker in
11:05
an interview with him he said something when we talked about in the Super Bowl where all of a sudden we became me and
11:11
guys were kind of just doing when they when adversity started to hit The Giants don't have a history of sess
11:19
12 years and when you've got a bunch of guys on the team that are used to losing and there's a lot of them that are right
11:26
negative things quickly become it's it's it's like that muscle memory thing Uh
11:31
okay Here we go This is kind of what and now effort can easily Wayne I think
11:37
Russell Wilson's presence alone again I don't want to make it like we got Dan Marino in his third year you know but
11:44
that's how far how far down we were to where we are that a competent
11:49
quarterback and one who brings gravitas right he brings a legitimate I've won a
11:56
Super Bowl I've led teams I r and he's good about bringing people together
12:01
which is something not all quarter Aaron Rogers is not that guy Aaron Rogers doesn't bring everybody he brings his
12:06
guys together He doesn't always mesh with other people That's been obvious in Green Bay It certainly was obvious with
12:12
the Jets Russell Wilson goes out of his way to bring people together This is a big deal What they're saying really
12:19
starts to play into what we saw We saw it against Dallas in a game at home where Neighbors was wide open and Jones
12:26
was late getting him the ball He makes the catch He gets about 30 yards thereabouts That could have been a 65
12:31
yard play if Jones hit him earlier the Jaylen Hyatt play against Arizona go
12:36
back a couple of years down the field he's wide open Jones hits him but if Jones had led him just before as he's
12:43
breaking that's a touchdown a touchdown yeah so this is what's might be different and this is where I think
12:49
you're going to see Jaylen Hyatt's either going to he's going to succeed or he's going to fail but it might not be
12:54
the lagging attitude it's now just going to be whether he can physically do it and so people might be going Jesus
13:00
Christ why are we talking about Daniel Jones again so We're going to be talking about the wide receivers I think what John wants to do and I know I want to do
13:08
here is the wide receivers can only do what based on the quality of the
13:14
quarterbacking So we're going what what have I what have I said for months i want to see our wide receivers with a
13:22
different quarterback Well now we're going to see our wide receivers with a different quarterback And everything you
13:27
said was correct I would just add what I've said before um Russell Wilson And again I'm not a
13:33
big Russell Wilson guy remember sure I wasn't one of these guys that said "Oh we got to get Russell Wilson." But he
13:38
will bring a calming presence in the huddle when the crowd is going nuts on
13:45
opening night opening day in Washington And and remember that fan base is going
13:50
to be fired up They they expect to beat the Giants They're going to be the crowd's going to be going crazy
13:57
And Russell Wilson in the huddle will calm everybody down because this game is
14:02
nothing compared to the games that he's played in before This this is another opening day to him This isn't the
14:08
playoffs He's been to the playoffs I I How many playoff games has he played in probably like 15 or something I have to
14:14
look it up But he's How many Monday night games how many Thursday night games has he like I was told there'd be no math He Yes He he will be calm and he
14:25
and that in itself will be a so so I'm excited about look if Jaylen Hyatt can't
14:31
do it with Russell Wilson he's not going to do it because Russell Wilson is the perfect quarterback for Jaylen Hyatt he's throwing he's going to throw
14:37
outside outside to him deep and if Russell Wilson can't I mean if Jayen Hayyatt can't do it with Russell Wilson
14:43
then then anyway um so do you want to start with receiver should we do this or
14:49
should we start with questions or how how do you want to handle you know we I I kind of feel like at the moment we're kind of on we're we're rolling with it
14:55
It all plays together So I think let's we can continue and we and I'll keep an eye on questions and stuff but I think
15:00
we could continue the receivers and let's let's go ahead and continue that way And if you if we have questions that
15:06
take us elsewhere we'll do that I don't This is This is kind of a free-for-all the way we're going to do this right um
15:12
so let's start let's start at the top We've got the guy we know um who's to be
15:17
the guy but we have concerns and you brought it up So let's start with neighbors Let's start where we were Hope
15:24
the toes okay I just hope the toes okay That's the only concern right now What is this toe injury that's been there
15:30
since college that is still lingering without surgery in on June 16th so again
15:37
I know they're being probably being careful I just again I I'm a little bit
15:43
nervous about that because I've seen Giant stuff before where they don't need
15:48
surgery they don't need surgery and all of a sudden we find out they're having surgery in August and we're like what
15:55
what the hell so if he's fine Malik Neighbors it's what I said to the other to you the other day If you start to
16:02
look at the Giants roster there are some really good players on this roster That's why if the Giants have a
16:08
quarterback this team can surprise people Don't you feel that way i think so That's that um I mean on defense
16:15
especially we have a lot of we have a lot of name players on defense now and we're starting to get very interesting
16:21
players on offense It's not the offensive line isn't where I want it to be but um and you can ar you can argue
16:28
we need another really really good wide receiver but but and we'll get into that
16:33
That's our you know how good are our wide receivers but Malik Neighbors is arguably a top 10 is a top 10 wide
16:39
receiver right now right agreed Um I I I would think so The the concern again and
16:45
how much better would he have been Had had we had a decent quarterback and who did who wouldn't And by the way he took
16:51
a pounding He he for a guy coming out of college who was used to being like wide
16:56
open and stuff he got beat up a lot He got beat up a lot Jones put him in really bad positions a number of times
17:04
So I'm thinking this guy is top tier with a really good quarterback and I
17:10
believe uh I believe Wilson is is that guy I I'm concerned about the to
17:16
are you think the Giants are like you they don't seem surprised at this at all
17:22
Um and I'm that's a little concerning to me because you didn't even bring it up at the end of the year right well what
17:28
what's this thing all of a sudden well it's been a problem since college Wasn't that new to you that was very new cuz he
17:35
had other issues I missed something I was like "What do you mean this has been a problem?" And if he was a problem since college why was he And again I
17:41
know the Pro Bowl isn't the Pro Bowl like it was But he was still running around and having fun He should have been not going to that stupid affair I
17:48
don't even watch that anymore But you saw him you know whatever they run this flag football crap that they run
17:54
basically at the Pro Bowl So maybe they're being really careful I just don't like we're six months after the
18:01
season and he's still not doing anything and it just makes me a
18:07
little bit it makes I don't want to dwell on this I don't want to get people worked up and nervous It's just I don't like it If he's healthy if he stays
18:14
healthy he put up big numbers with
18:20
shitty quarterbacks and now he's going to have a quarterback that's going to go
18:25
to the Hall of Fame someday He's not a Hall of Fame quarterback now but he's going to be a he's going to go to the Hall of Fame He knows what he's doing
18:31
and I'm actually excited to see him um catch the ball down the field not these
18:38
eight yard catches where he gets creamed and you know where he gets the ball 10
18:44
times a game and and he's still average he's getting 100 yards I want to see him
18:49
you know two or three deep shots to him down the field for a 50 yard touchdown I
18:55
want to see that because he can do that They just didn't use him that way last or they tried to There were time right
19:00
John there were times last year where you saw neighbors pretty frustrated coming back to the huddle Absolutely
19:06
Once again I'm going to do something really bad here I don't normally do this Can you shut that off for me right there just shut it off Take it right
19:12
downstairs with you I just FYI I was trying to do one of those dual camera things So I was recording our thing and
19:18
all of a sudden the mic on the the the recording started to pick up everything and and play it back So I don't know if
19:24
you could hear like other feedback Hollywood I I was I'm trying to get better with some of this Anyway that
19:30
being said um I you know the the my my big thing I don't know I don't even know
19:36
what the hell you were saying when I said right there I was like so worried Oh that's a great I was worried about the Yeah I just didn't want I didn't
19:43
want it like echoing in the background I I'm concerned of of one thing with with neighbors in that um
19:51
a lot of wear and tear happened last year very early and it affected him Even though you look at his numbers you think
19:57
that's great But one thing I I've said this before I said it a long time ago um years ago when the Giants uh I believe
20:04
it was the 2014 season and there were so many people that were focused on well the Giants offense did this and it was
20:11
the defense and I'm like never take stats or a grouping in a season in which
20:17
you were a losing team and equate that to be that this was good and this part was bad And I think that's what the
20:23
Giants did a lot The problem is when you put up stats in a bad season who gives a [Ā __Ā ] lots of times you're you're playing
20:28
from behind You're just you're just you know you're getting all this extra stuff I want to see Neighbors though for a
20:34
full season I don't want him catching 115 120 passes though I want him more of
20:40
them down the field like you said He I want him attacking I want him more Jamar Chase I don't want him having to take I
20:47
don't want him to be Anquin Balden and getting just for those who remember Anquin Balden getting absolutely beat up
20:52
He would catch 110 115 passes but get pummeled and his career was very short
20:59
You know it was for a while he was te and then just dropped We want neighbors to be long term He's got to be a down
21:04
the field attacky kind of guy So I'm Wilson I think will bring that out That toe thing is concerning because and Dart
21:11
will dart Oh absolutely Yeah Lean away from the quarterbacks but yes Dart too down the road But those toe things can
21:18
be really scary because they can be very easily just recurring out of nowhere It's a toe And remember he didn't
21:24
practice much on any on Friday's period And I'm beginning to wonder now looking back on it was some of this the toe and
21:31
they just weren't telling people and they would say it was something else And it wonder I wonder too And remember the
21:36
other thing too is what do we play on stupid turf Right Right Is this turf toe
21:41
and if it is turf toe the turf's still there So Giants get rid of the goddamn turf All right we're Oh I'm supposed to
21:48
stop swearing Remember we were told I was swearing too much All right well not the swearing just the specific Specific
21:54
Okay I don't I don't know where the line's drawn Sorry I drink every time Oh
22:00
crap That'll send us in a different direction So let's back up Malik Neighbors you said you said a name Uh
22:07
Jamar Chase Yes Can you Can he be Jamar Chase i believe so I do too which is
22:13
pretty high praise Yeah he has a similar style you know I mean that he's he can
22:18
he can burst he can make moves He's not You just don't want him catching a lot of short over the middle where he's
22:25
facing the quarterback You want him so he can move and and take advantage of his skills You don't want his back to
22:30
the defense when he's catching the ball because that's when you take those shots in the in the upper back the lower in the ribs those kind of things from
22:36
behind That'll really start to get you to bring your arms down when that happens and you we don't want that So
22:42
yeah I I think he could be Jamar I think it'd be He's a He's a Justin Jefferson He's a Jamar Chase He comes from the same kind of school He comes from the
22:48
same school but I mean the same the same sort of school of play He comes from that same thing He's he's he's a guy
22:55
that is designed to be a Greyhound And the Giants were kind of using him as a Greyhound but like more like a Greyhound
23:01
bus not a Greyhound dog And so I want to see him dog Here's Dball's dog I want to see him more downfield I want to see him
23:07
catching more downfield And uh I think he can be I I mean it's high praise yes
23:12
but you know is is he any different than those other guys when they came out i
23:18
don't think so That is true But no it's a good point It's a It's a good point But but that doesn't take away the fact
23:24
that he can be that player This is a really good point I'll bring it up again It's a really good point
23:30
Dave And that's why I've talked before in previous episodes and with John And
23:35
we're going to find out how good really or how bad are the other wide receivers on this roster Are they better than we
23:43
think they are because of the quarterback play or are they who they who they are so we're going to find a
23:48
lot more about Sllayton We're going to find a lot more about Juan Del Robinson Jaylen Hyatt So we it would be nice to
23:55
have another T Higgins on this team but we don't have to have T Higgins where we
24:01
have to have somebody better than what Darius has been to date what Juan Dell has been to date and
24:07
maybe that'll come out with the quarterbacks Um so we'll see That's a really good point but that doesn't
24:12
change the fact that that Neighbors has the ability to be a well he is a Pro
24:21
Bowl caliber wide receiver who can be a differencemaker who scares the other team You put your best corner back on
24:26
him and he still can beat the guy and other teams are going to have to double him So I think I think when the Giants
24:32
play other teams Malik Neighbors will be doubled in by almost every opponent that we face and that will open up other
24:38
opportunities for other people Now if Sllayton and Wandal and Hyatt and
24:44
whoever else makes this team can't take advantage of that we're going into the 2026 offseason and free agency in the
24:51
draft with wide receiver being one of one of our top needs And they'll have the money they'll have the money and and
24:57
they'll they they have the draft capital to to get that So I I still think wide receiver and offensive line surround
25:04
dart with people is the next step on this team going in the next off seasonason
25:10
But maybe that we have the wide receivers but we'll have to see Well that's interesting that you said that because I actually was going to ask you
25:16
that It's a fair point I know I was going to kind of go against it right off but
25:21
the point with the Bengals though is they really only have those two the they don't have a lot of others and their
25:28
tight ends are Yeah they got quarterback too They do That's the That's the interesting part which we don't know how
25:35
good how good can Sllayton be when he is a producer down the field The one part
25:40
that he struggled with is so you know he'll have drops and he doesn't bring a lot of other stuff but he's a he's a
25:47
darn good like he's got speed He's got decent more than decent speed He can get
25:53
does he can get open deep and he's a little bit bigger too He's he's a little bigger than you would think he is Um I'm
26:00
really curious on how Well develops So we and so so let's move off neighbors
26:05
Let's go straight to Well We'll go point on neighbors So because you're going to hear this theme consistently from me or
26:11
constantly from me tonight The big issue with Malik to me is cut
26:16
down on the drops and some of that's because he's had so many throws So his drops are inflated because he's had so
26:22
many targets too But cut down on the drops Sllayton cut down on the drops Hyatt cut down on the drops Wandelle did
26:30
Wand have a big drop problem maybe we had a lot of He did He had No he was he was up there in drops He was up We had
26:36
like 60 drop passes as a team and then which was way way way too high So all
26:41
right So let's move on Let's move on What would be interesting on the drops too though is if you um kind of made it
26:47
like a like a a plot sort of graph Mhm How many of those drops were within
26:52
seven yards of the line of scrimmage and then look at how many of the drops are like overly contested passes like you
26:58
were one two people right on you There's going to be a lot The Giants were throwing to guys that were covered
27:04
pretty and they were short A lot of the passes were short Again don't want to beat There were open
27:10
ones too though No there was plenty There was plenty I mean ne listen neighbors the we we we can talk about
27:16
the the the main kicker We can talk about the fact that uh the you know the Giants just couldn't stop the the I was
27:22
going to call them the Skins Couldn't stop the Commanders from going down to kick field goals We lose a game But the
27:28
fact of the matter is Neighbors drops a fourth down pass that he should have caught I mean it was right in his hands So drops are a big deal You're
27:34
absolutely right So let's move to Well We'll go across the field Wandell in the slot This is a huge for a small guy This
27:40
is a huge year for him This is a This is a guy that the Giants are going to have to kind of make up their mind on what
27:45
they're going to want to do with him on on his contract going forward This if he doesn't produce this year you you're not
27:53
you're never going to produce if you don't produce this year Well and it's cut off by our logo up here but look at
27:59
the So look the 2026 um contracts and Janelle is one of them It's cut You can't see it because it got
28:05
cut off but it's a contract year for Juan Dale It's a huge year for him So
28:11
there are a number and I don't want to get more too much into this because people are going to get I do but there
28:16
are there are um a lot of interesting slot receivers in the next year's draft
28:22
A lot of really good slot receivers and people have turned there's it's interesting that the the position is you
28:29
either go with the small 50 guy and but the new trend now seems to be towards big slot receivers which is what little
28:36
Jordan Humphrey is I'm not saying Will Jordan's going to beat out Juanale but I'm saying that they're coming out of college and we saw this in the last
28:43
year's draft There were a lot of big wide receivers that were just slot receivers
28:48
that were drafted in the first three rounds and it's going to be the same case this year So Juan Bell's got to
28:54
prove he can be a dynamic player
29:02
at all levels Not just these short catches that he breaks a tackle and
29:08
picks up picks up the first down but he can get intermediate catches but he also
29:13
can get farther down the field Again we saw a little bit of this in the Colts game So one of the one of Wandelle's
29:19
better games was the Colts game there was the ball was going farther down the
29:24
field with him I think he can do that The knock on him is this is what Sai has talked about is his because of his short
29:31
arms and his in his short period He doesn't have a big catch radius So the
29:37
quarterback's got to be fairly accurate when throwing the ball to Wandelle because he's not going to be reaching
29:42
way out to snag the ball You've got to get But Wedell is one of those guys It's
29:48
funny if you go back and read the game reviews with with with Juanale Um
29:55
Sai is basically kind of all over the place with him There's one game review where he'll say "Oh man Juan Dale this is the guy that he still can be a
30:02
dynamic weapon I you know I I really like what he brings to the team He can
30:07
really do a lot of damage." And then the following week Sai's like way down on him saying we need to get somebody who
30:13
who can be better than this So I don't even think Sai's sort of like all over
30:19
the place on Wandelle Wandell to me career can still go in one of two
30:24
directions He can still be a way better player than he is right now or he could basically just be what he is And if he
30:30
is what he is I think we have to do better than that So I think he could have a decent year for us but if he's
30:35
not if we're having another year where he's just getting um what did he average
30:41
this year six yards a catch It was something absurd It was some some absurd number He like the lowest yards per
30:47
catch And that's not all on him It was you know so we know
30:56
Dable likes to throw the ball We know he likes using a slot guy Wand had a ton
31:02
You know we we talk about all the targets Malik Neighbors got Wandell Robinson got thrown the ball a ton last
31:07
year I got to bring up the stats Well he had 7.5 yards per He had 93 receptions Yeah But so how
31:16
many targets did he have do you have that right in front of you 140 That's a that's huge 140 targets The
31:23
Wel Robinson And but that that's that's any but he didn't have a,000 yards No He
31:31
had 699 But that's symptomatic of the way the Giant the Giants passing offense was pathetic Let's be honest I mean you
31:37
can't you can't look at the receivers and say this is the receivers's fault knowing the quarterback is throwing [Ā __Ā ]
31:42
passes five yards from the line of scrimmage right so yes 140 targets though is absurd Like I mean that's
31:48
crazy That's crazy numbers What you want to see is you want to see a high target but what I want is a I want a higher
31:54
catch percentage but less targets Right Right So but doesn't that number shock
32:01
you cuz when at the end of the year when I was looking at the stats I it it floored me that he got thrown the ball
32:08
that much I knew he got thrown the ball a lot I didn't get realize he got thrown the ball 140 times I mean that's Malik
32:14
Neighbor's territory it So it's it's so bad for the Giants last year that
32:19
something like that which is that's a that's got to be pretty close to like
32:24
some sort of an epic number of of targets for a guy who's not your number
32:30
one player by the way He's not the number one wide receiver on the team That's a that's a humongous number And
32:35
yet it's it's it's not memorable There's like you we don't know how memorable So
32:41
the question is is it a record in terms of the number is it a record in terms of the number of times a player's been
32:47
thrown to for the fewest amount of yards in NFL history again people are gonna
32:52
say I'm knocking Juanell and I'm not kind of am but that's not my point here
32:57
My point here is for the times they threw to him it's certainly the payoff wasn't there And some of that was crazy
33:05
crap that every New York Giants fan who actually watched games last year you know what I'm talking about It's third
33:12
and seven and we threw a four- yard pass to Wandale and you're like why are we
33:19
throwing a four- yard pass on third and seven yes Wale can break tackles but you're not going to make a living doing
33:24
that every time it's third and seven And we saw it constantly There was one game I think Wandell had was averaging like
33:31
one yard a catch and he had like I don't know five catches or something like that It's like what are we doing so anyway it
33:38
was crazy But the interesting part about it though is he had three touchdowns last year and I think I can really only
33:45
remember one of any kind of importance I'm like he did i'm like three The Giant How many did we have as a team 15
33:53
Like he had one/5if of the touchdowns last year It's it's kind of crazy I'm trying to bring up stats right now My
33:58
computer's acting up So I'm gonna have to rely on you for my stat guy right now So to uh uh Train Master to answer your
34:05
question in 2007 Wes Welker had 145
34:10
targets and 112 receptions And that's with Moss being on the other
34:17
side of the field So 112 receptions on 145 targets But that's
34:24
also if you think about it right the Patriots of 2007 they were passappy They
34:31
were not a running team They threw the ball they threw the ball a ton So to
34:36
have 145 targets and with Moss on the other side that's that's a lot There's no doubt about it But for for Janelle to
34:44
have 140 targets on a Giants team that went three and out a lot whose offense
34:50
could not get much of anything that's a ton of targets But that those receptions
34:56
93 of 140 Welker had 112 of 145 I mean you're talking almost 30 30 more
35:02
reception almost 30 more receptions than than what than what Well had That's crazy That's just it's just crazy So we
35:09
got a 5 foot10 quarterback who has had troubles throwing over big guards
35:19
possibly throwing to a 5'8 wide receiver out of the slot It will be interesting to see
35:25
what Wandell's year is going to be like I was very pessimistic before the OTAAS
35:32
in the OTAAS where it's a passing camp and there's no one's getting hit They
35:37
were throwing inside So we'll see if that continues or not But I think you
35:43
and I have have have talked about before that there's a
35:48
possibility that Well's numbers will decline significantly in in terms of
35:53
pass attempts simply because the quarterback change So we'll see how this
35:58
we'll see how this works out because historically speaking Russell Wilson he will throw over the middle but that's
36:04
not his favorite or his best thing to do And so you got 5 foot 10 throwing to 5'8
36:10
And the question moving forward on all of this is we're going to be watching
36:17
Russell Wilson what do these guys who are all really
36:23
young still what would they be doing if Jackson Dart was in the was in the game so is Wandell Robinson a different
36:30
player with Jackson Dart versus Russell Wilson and we won't know that The coaches will have to look at
36:37
that in camp and judge that moving forward because at the end of the year Wandel Robinson's going to be a free
36:43
agent and the Giants have to make a decision Do we bring him back or do we try to improve improve the
36:49
position and again there are some guys we're going to talk about and we should move on because there's there's 14 wide
36:55
receivers on this roster There are some guys on this team that can play the slot and might be in the picture down the
37:01
road too even though we're focusing more on this upcoming year So there um in the chat it was shared that um uh Randy Moss
37:09
had 160 targets in that same year So you're talking 305 targets between the
37:15
two Uh Jell was targeted 140 times Malik Malik Malik Neighbors was targeted 170
37:24
times Right So I'm talking 310 targets from those two guys Those two guys
37:30
That's crazy I mean it's not Look look I'm not saying it's something to be critical of I'm just I'm just floored on
37:37
on an offense that can't score 15 points a game but it's another it's it's another point that you made a little
37:42
while ago which was the the the the drop pieces And again we don't know from from
37:49
what I'm going to share what was a drop and what was just a bad pass and he didn't even get a hand on it It was a target and it was incomplete
37:55
170 targets for neighbors for 109 receptions So that means 61 of his
38:00
targets were incomplete Mhm Those are things you want to bring The 170 you want that down You want that in the 140
38:07
150 range The receptions you would want to go from 109 to about 120 You want those to go up Those two things need to
38:14
come up but the plays down the field is what we were talking about for Well and to then move on I like to see the fact
38:21
that he could be a little bit more of a gadget player They can use him on end of rounds They could line him up and out of
38:26
the back field and run out a little bit more you lose him use them a little bit less as a strictly slot traditional
38:33
receiver and move them around a little bit make matchups much harder for them to get get them in motion and get them
38:39
outside because that's where I think you'll take advantage And again not to put too much onto this particular thing
38:45
cuz whether it's Russell Wilson whether it's Jameus Winston or whether it's Jackson Dart a quarterback that can
38:51
throw the ball down the field makes defenses not come up so quickly not be
38:56
willing to jump up or pull the safeties or bring the linebackers up to take the stuff short because you can't afford to
39:02
give up the deep end When you played the Giants last year the deep end was the last thing that they worried about Well
39:07
and maybe I'm being naive here Maybe I'm being too simplistic
39:13
I harped on all year Daniel Jones would not throw the ball down the field Throw
39:19
the ball down the field I get the And again this may be me being wrong about
39:24
this I get the feeling other defenses said "Don't worry about Daniel throwing the
39:31
ball down the field He either won't or he can't So don't worry about it And even if he completes one he's certainly
39:37
not going to do it again We're going to crowd the line We're going to work focus on we're Malik getting the getting the
39:44
catch and we're going to pound the crap out of him which we talked about in our last thing And he did Malik got the crap
39:50
beat out of him There's that one game we thought it was the Cowboy game I think it was the Cowboy game Yeah it's either the Cowboy or the Bengle game He got the
39:56
crap beat on him at the end He was like collapsing on the sidelines So before we pass this I'm glad you talked brought
40:02
this up John because I saw this from Train Master earlier Um this is a really great question Again I think this ties
40:08
in with the quarterbacks I think it ties in with what John was just talking about So John when they drafted um Wandelle I
40:16
thought they were going to use him more like what you just said the gadget kind of thing That's what he did in college
40:21
He was running running plays as a running back They were spinning him out of the back field catching passes They
40:27
were moving him around like a gadget kind of thing And he was very effective at that And they've kind of gotten away from that And again is that because our
40:34
coaches is that because the quarterbacks i I I don't know what it is but we do have a lot of running backs who can
40:40
catch the ball now Our tight ends look like they're going to be better um with experience and with new additions and
40:46
all that We we'll talk a little bit I guess about that but again how's the ball going to be spread spread out
40:52
around to all these guys so I just we won't harp too much more on the um the number of um attempts or um targets that
41:01
Wandelle and Malik got but it's just it's stunning three over 300 on two players is just stunning on on a team
41:07
quarterbacked by Daniel Jones and Drew Lock and a little bit by by Tommy Devito
41:14
It's just stunning to me I mean we're not talking like you know like Eli was back there or anything I mean it's
41:20
Daniel Effing Jones ball So anyways um yeah don't bring this
41:26
up Darren That this is my this is my that that's when I was like and the coaches were too we're out We're done
41:34
Yeah that one We're done We're done But you know it's it's funny that we we point to that and again not to beat the
41:41
Daniel I know this is going to seem like we're constantly being corpse What do you call him i did I called him the corpse of Jones What did you call him
41:47
the Before that I said he was the herpes of quarterbacks and No no no no That was a while back It wasn't the corpse You
41:53
called him the um Anyways you you had some the cadaver I don't know It doesn't matter It doesn't matter Um let's move
42:00
on Let's move on Yeah But one of the things though that we look and we point
42:05
to that that one thing right the Carolina one the flee flicker Yes That's not the one for me that stood out last
42:10
year It was earlier than that and I've brought it up multiple times I brought it up tonight It's early in the game against Dallas at home They they get the
42:18
they get everything they wanted They they sucker Dallas into thinking it's going to be a run play Jones drops back
42:24
There's a pump fake and and Neighbors is free Go back and look at the highlight
42:29
He's free He's running and all of a sudden he's turning around like this waiting for the ball to come to him He
42:35
makes the catch Now at best he turns and he gets maybe about 10 11 more yards That is a 60 plus yard play if you throw
42:43
and hit him One other thing about the difference in in in how you throw a football go And again I'm not a
42:49
quarterback I was a pitcher in high school in baseball Threw a football but I wasn't a quarter We didn't have
42:54
football so we couldn't collect football However we go back to the video we did after the Titans preseason game No not
43:01
the Texans preseason game One of the complaints I had was that pass that he was trying to get to Hyatt that got um
43:08
it was either knocked down or was intercepted I can't remember which one it was on the deep fly And I said and
43:13
and Sai was on with us I said Jones is very mechanical in how he tries to just
43:19
he tries to put it in There was no arc on the ball It was coming in too low the defender had time to get to it because
43:25
of the angle it was coming in at Wilson throws the moon ball right you don't throw the moon ball when the guy's
43:32
50 yards down the field and then you throw it and he waits for it like a fair catch You throw the moon ball before
43:37
they ever get there The ball is coming down and it's leading They're coming to it That is an art which Wilson has
43:44
That's huge for guys like Hayyatt That's huge for Neighbors That is going to be huge for a guy like Sllayton those kind
43:51
of things you throw it far before the guy gets there Jones waited till guys were down the field before you throw the
43:56
ball So let's talk about Sllayton So the big three on this team we we can talk
44:03
about Hyatt all we want but right now the big three are Neighbors Wandelle and Sllayton And and
44:09
Hyatt may have a great summer but he's not likely to beat anybody out unless
44:15
he's like just dominates and takes Sllayton's spot So we're talking about these three And Sllayton is a guy in his
44:22
rookie year caught eight touchdown passes and looked like a real find And
44:28
he's been he's had a for where we drafted him he's had a heck of a career Not great but he's one of these guys
44:34
that you're you're still waiting for him just to get a thousand yards do that eight touchdown in the year again or
44:41
better and do it do it consistently and not disappear My biggest problem with him is this is and we saw it again last
44:48
year think about but is it the quarterback he disappeared down the stretch So
44:54
I said it with everyone we've were talking about I want to see Slayton with a real quarterback and we're if he can't
45:02
put up big numbers with Russell Wilson just like Jaylen Hyatt then it's time to think about replacing Sllayton even
45:08
though we just got got him a new contract Yeah Um so it's it's so Sllayton
45:15
should have a really good year I expect a maybe his career year out of Sllayton
45:20
given who his quarterback is this year because I think Sllayton is going to see a lot of deep passes like we saw his
45:27
rookie year down the field And I mentioned for those who didn't see it our last show that we um we by the way
45:36
did you see it's like 20 23 2100 views or whatever lot of lot of views on our last show Um
45:43
I I think um I look watched a highlight tape of
45:48
Sllayton's touchdowns this week and again that's always dangerous when you just watch but the guy can get down the
45:55
field All these all these things were way down the field where he was blowing by the corner or he was catching a
46:00
shorter pass spinning away from the guy and and getting the touchdown He can still run away from people He's not an
46:06
old guy It seems like he's been here forever He's still got he's really fast still and and so Sllayton and Hyatt and
46:13
Neighbors should do exceptionally well with this quarterback That's what I'm
46:19
looking forward to So I expect more targets going to Sllayton fewer going to H fewer going to Wandell and maybe fewer
46:27
to Malik Um I know you you would like to see that You'd like to see more yards
46:33
per catch and and him not get beat up as much So that but I think Sllayton might
46:39
be benefit as much as we're talking about uh Jaylen Hayyatt Sllayton may be the biggest benefactor here He could he
46:46
could be I I want to temper it slightly because I'm looking through and and it's there's a very interesting thing about
46:51
this now Again we had a shitty quarterback Mhm Okay So I get that I can't I can't say being mean Stop being
46:57
mean Well I can't say it for the first two guys and then get to Sllayton and go "Hey wait a minute." But there is something about him that's very
47:04
interesting Do you know he he's now been with us what uh one two three four five six years six years he's been a wide
47:10
receiver for us He's only the most receptions he's had in a season is 50 Right Right No and I brought that up
47:17
constantly And the yards look at the yardage His yardage the most he's ever had is 770 Right He's never really sign
47:23
he's never really seriously challenged a thousand yards but his targets have been relatively
47:29
high compared to the catches right 80 84 in his rookie year to 48 receptions 96
47:38
in 20 for 50 receptions 58 and 21 for 26
47:44
71 targets in 22 for 46 But his average
47:49
was 15.7 That was his most in a season was that year He average how many years has he played six years Remind me who
47:56
our quarterback was No no I I I I know that But that doesn't change the fact that Yes it does No it doesn't it
48:02
doesn't change the fact that he's pretty consistent that he maxes out at 50 receptions And I said that so every year
48:08
every at the end of every year I go to the um roster section of our of of the
48:15
website Big Blue Interactive I go to the roster section and there's a write up on every player And so in January I do a
48:21
write up on how every player did at the end of the year And every single year Sllayton it's almost identical because
48:27
the what is exactly what you just said The stats are almost identical and it's it's like that he's a he's been teasing
48:34
and we always look back to that eight touchdown rookie because look at look at the touchdowns It's eight his rookie
48:39
year right now Read off the next five touchdown Read off the next five Three two two four two Not good enough Not
48:49
good enough What what worries me more though is he had 71 targets last year
48:54
and 39 receptions Well and if you could pull up on a game by-game basis he
49:01
disappeared down the stretch last year He had only like a couple of catches in the last like few game like five games
49:07
last year Um he didn't he just disappeared and he's had a tendency to do this So a lot of people have said
49:13
this and again it sounds like I'm busting on Sllayton People say Jaylen Hyatt can't run routes and Jaylen Hyatt
49:20
can't get off press coverage blah blah blah blah Well I think Sllayton's got a
49:25
problem against press coverage too I want to see you know the Phil if the Philadelphia Eagles get in his face he's
49:31
got to get off that coverage get past the corner and and burn them deep So
49:37
earlier in chat we had a really smart comment from somebody that um um the
49:45
Bengals had T Higgins We need we need an we need a compliment next We
49:51
need Slayton to make other teams pay when they double
49:56
neighbors So that's the challenge Well that's is he just a guy and and a lot of
50:02
people think he is and that might be the pro And then and if he is wait keep that up If he is just a guy If he is just a
50:09
guy then we know what our number one or number two need is next off season It
50:15
It's going to be wide receiver I still say it's going to be offensive line too But it's going to be wide receiver and offensive line So if he's just the guy
50:22
Yes But what if what if Sllayton has 10 catches this year and in,00 yards i
50:29
don't think that's unrealistic if with Wilson as quarterback I think he's I think Sllayton and then we'll move on to
50:35
some of the other guys I think Sllayton is is the Giants fallback for next year
50:41
They signed him but that's a contract they could walk away from if they ultimately wanted to
50:47
Wandell's the guy right now playing for a contract If he has a big year they're going to resign him They'll keep him
50:52
because they'll be able to control it to a degree and they'll spread the cost out And he's young he's young and he brings
50:57
him because I still think the guy on the other side I think they're still looking for him and and some of the guys we're
51:02
going to get to we're going to talk about that Sllayton's gonna have a Sllayton year The question becomes does
51:07
Hyatt have a good enough year that they can project him to be Sllayton or are we
51:14
talking Hayyatt's not good enough wandell's not good Now that's two guys you got to replace All right And then
51:20
Sllayton's really a Jag that you're keeping because he's on contract and wide receiver becomes a huge need Allah
51:26
when the Giants went in 87 and they went Ingram and Baker and I'm trying to
51:32
remember they got I think they got Odessa Turner the um the same year I think O Turner was down even lower than
51:37
that But either way that could become an unbelievably huge need if Wandell and
51:42
Hyatt do not develop Sllayton's a guy who's going to be there as a safety blanket next year or this might be his
51:49
last year regardless of the contract I What What have you been besides my my um
51:56
reluctance to use technology what is the other thing that you you laughed at me about this pre-draft what were you
52:03
laughing at me about do you remember the the use of the mock uh the um Oh my god your simulator is which was awesome
52:11
especially when we called it the stimulator Did you know that you can do that can continue you can still do that for 2026 now And I've been doing I've
52:17
done that I've done that And the reason why I'm doing that is I find myself drafting two wide receivers I find
52:23
myself drafting a slot receiver and a outside receiver an ex receiver based on
52:28
the fact that I'm just in case Sllayton and Wandelle's le free free agency and
52:34
Sllayton can't do it So I'm just throwing but like everybody else I keep saying the same thing I want to see
52:42
these wide receivers with a real quarterback and we're going to see it Sllayton skill set is exactly the kind
52:49
of receiver that Russell Wilson likes Jaylen Hyatt's skill set is just exactly
52:55
what Russell Wilson likes There's a reason why Russell Wilson has taken Slate has taken Hyatt under his wing is
53:02
because he knows he it can be a mutually beneficial relationship for both So
53:08
we're going to learn a lot about everybody on this team this year The good news is this
53:14
Daniel Jones is not here anymore Everybody's out of excuses Okay
53:20
Everybody's out So you can't blame You can't blame Daniel now for 15 points a
53:25
game You can't blame him for the receivers getting two touchdowns in a
53:31
season What did Sllayton have last year three touchdowns You said two Uh he had two Two Two So had three Out of excuses
53:37
They're out of excuses So if we if we have a show in January and those guys
53:43
have four touchdowns between them it's Sllayton may be here next year but he's
53:48
not going to be starting and and Wale won't be back So we're going to find it's a big year for all of those guys
53:54
It's not it's we're Neighbors is a longterm long as he stays healthy Neighbors is here for the long term but
54:00
everybody else is is playing for a job right now We may have very different looking wide receiver group next year or
54:06
it may be the same guys based on what they what they do So let's not lose sight of the fact how huge a year this
54:12
is for Slateton and if the Giants are really going to surprise people this year Sllayton's got to have a really good year and I and I'm somewhat
54:20
somewhat optimistic about it because I I because I think Sllayton is the type of wide receiver Wilson loves and we'll
54:28
we'll just go from there But again he's got to cut down on the drops can't you know you you get down down the field
54:34
you're wide open you can't drop you can't drop the ball so so that's and and
54:40
I don't know if we need to talk about Hyatt no we've done beaten we've we've covered him so that's we have four but
54:45
those are going to be four those are four so and how many do you think they're going to carry six or seven right six or seven I think if
54:55
for now I'm going to just answer the question and I'll get into the what if later I'm gonna go with six I'm I think it's six for a reason that we'll get to
55:02
as we get through the players I'll save it because we haven't covered everybody yet And Amir Smith Marsett is probably
55:08
going to be one of the six or seven Oh that I would I would think it'd be shocking if he wasn't because he is the
55:14
kick returner There is no Gunner's gone The Gunnar O is gone He's not on the team So it's just Smith Marcett is the
55:21
kick returner right now And and he seems to be a guy that they like and they're throwing to him in camp Jameus Winston's
55:28
throwing to him all the time in camp or in camp otaas right now And I didn't
55:33
think it was a receiver but they're throwing to him Even the even the Giants um the Giants huddle people are like
55:40
"Wow they're really throwing Smith Marcet a lot." So we're only talking
55:45
about one or two spots being open on the 53 There's going to be three or four
55:51
maybe two let's just say three They're going to be at least three spots open on the practice squad for wide receivers So
55:57
when we're talking about depth we're talking about only if if everyone stays healthy we're talking about one or two
56:02
spots open right i would think so Right I would think so So let's let's do we've got four Let's let's go to five Instead
56:09
of going through everybody individually per se just yet Let's let's kind of hit some of the guys we think might be in
56:15
line for five Five is different Um so you're counting Smith Marcett as your
56:20
sixth wide receiver i'm assuming Smith Marett's gonna be there So so really we're talking um
56:30
we're really talking one guy Like we're talking one position It might be more They might go seven
56:37
I'm thinking right now if you and and some of this it kind of depends It
56:42
depends on what happens with Juan Dale what they think they're going to use him for and what they might want I really
56:49
think Zack Pascal has a has a a straight line to make this team really if he
56:56
shows that he can because he brings you that guy who's a little bit more across the middle He can be that physical guy
57:04
It's it's a big deal Um thank you too for for for again for the for the super chat Appreciate it You're always Yeah I
57:11
really appreciate that Um I I I I'm want to see what you think because he's a guy He's pro played in this league He's done
57:19
stuff He brings special teams ability He can catch and he brings a physical presence Look at the size that we're
57:25
talking about A 6'2 215 pound wide receiver He gives a little more bulk that the Giants don't have with some of
57:32
their other guys who can legitimately play wide receiver I
57:38
I'm going to preface my remarks by by saying I do things I do a thing that a lot a lot of fans if not most fans do I
57:45
develop favorites based on nothing else than just for just gut feeling And I
57:52
don't know why but Zach isn't one of the guys that I was thinking that was going to be in the picture And it's just
57:58
because he's been around the league so long and he's just he's been just a guy
58:03
that when I see other guys making plays in the OTAAS I'm hoping
58:10
that carries into the training camp and then into the preseason And I'm hoping that one of the younger rookie free
58:18
agents becomes so interesting So he makes enough splash
58:25
plays you you think we cannot put him on the practice squad Somebody's going to grab him So
58:32
that being said Zack certainly has an advantage in given his experience He's
58:38
been in the league a long time Like you said he brings size to the table I I'm going to work a little bit backwards
58:44
here I don't think Bryce Ford Weaten is in a good situation here because he has
58:49
not made as far as we know no one's been talking about him in OTAA The Giants employees haven't been talking about him
58:56
The media people that have seen the three practices haven't been talking about him He's a good gunner but they
59:03
drafted a guy Cory Black who's who is a really good gunner So I think Bryce Ford
59:08
Weaton there goes your size wide receiver And what you've talked about is having some flexibility a different kind
59:15
of wide receiver room having at least somebody who brings some size to the table Zack certainly does that So I
59:22
wouldn't completely discount him I'm just more interested in some of these other guys than Zach But again it's me
59:32
It's my subjective You know what I'm saying it's legit It's It's legit though B Okay so Bryce Ford
59:38
Weaten the thing about him right what is the one thing he's done he returned a block field goal for a touchdown He
59:44
didn't block it He returned it Well he's a gunner His best thing is he's I understand that in but he got injured
59:52
right and that cost him a whole season right so he's a guy that doesn't have a
59:57
lot He has little to no offensive experience with the Giants He hasn't done anything on offense He's played
1:00:03
specials but he gives you nothing else And what did we talk about in the previous video the OTAA video um
1:00:10
position versatility the ability to be used for other stuff One of the reasons why I think Wandell brings a whole lot
1:00:16
to the table right now is I think the Giants can throw him in the back field if they want to and they could they start running patterns out of the back
1:00:22
field and he gives you that he could run the ball if they wanted to They could run a couple of handoffs to him if they
1:00:27
wanted to get tricky and do stuff like that He's done that He's done that in college He's Rice Ford doesn't bring you
1:00:32
anything else He's literally just a gunner He's not really going to play You can't put him in the slot Yes he's a
1:00:38
bigger guy but he's shown no real ability at wide receiver that we've seen So I that's why I'm thinking he now now
1:00:44
the thing about Pascal and I am being biased on the fact that he's played in the league and he has that's that's an
1:00:51
asset though you're you're but he is 31 So I mean if you want to go younger just if anyone wants to correct these ages by
1:00:58
the way the ages I put in there because I don't have a program to do this These are the ages of the players at at as of
1:01:04
December 31st 2026 So Pascal actually may be 30 So just so you know that too
1:01:09
John I don't have the ability That's fine Yeah I got you Okay And that's a fair you know Neil that's a fair point
1:01:16
on on Ty but I'll say this Tyrie was a demon on special teams Bryce Ford Weaten
1:01:22
is just a guy on special teams He's not the He's not a guy that we go man we that guy is one of our leaders on
1:01:28
special teams He's just one of the guys on special teams I don't remember Bryce Ford Weaten other than said picking up
1:01:35
the blocked kick I don't remember him making any I mean maybe because I'm just I just don't remember I I don't think
1:01:41
he's a bad gunner I'm just saying if somebody else can do the be the gunner what does Bryce Ford Weaten bring to the
1:01:46
table that's right You got to be something else Bryce Ford Weaten was signed as a UDFA because he was big and
1:01:54
he runs really fast and he's a really good athlete and he just hasn't developed yet Can does he still can he
1:02:00
still make the team yes But he's been very quiet in OTAAS and the you know
1:02:06
whatever you want to say the Giants do release these things where they say you
1:02:12
know this receiver did Anto Wells caught a touchdown pass and and Jaylen Hyatt
1:02:17
caught a 50-yard pass and Jordan Bllye caught three touchdowns I haven't I
1:02:22
haven't seen Bryce Ford Weaten's name mentioned right in nine OTAAS so which
1:02:28
is a passing camp So that's I just don't think that's a good sign sign for him I'm not trying to be mean I'm trying to
1:02:34
say Bryce you're you're on the hot seat right now because and I think that's a fair point that that Dave Del Cole thank
1:02:40
you for dropping in by the way bud Um I think it's a fair point of what he made You know Bryce Ford Weeden still you know all the talk about him and he still
1:02:46
makes a team But I will say the Giants they were constantly trying to play
1:02:51
around with the special teams piece and the if you can get a guy playing special teams that can can also play offense
1:02:57
that opens the door One of the big things and we talked about in the OTAA video if you haven't seen it watch that video Um one of the things we talked
1:03:04
about is the numbers at offensive line the numbers maybe at at defensive back
1:03:10
or linebacker are really going to be dependent on some of the other positions
1:03:15
where if you've got guys that can do multiple things I don't necessarily have
1:03:21
to just have a guy who only does one thing in that position group taking a position away from another group that I
1:03:27
really would like to have more depth at Mhm I think wide receiver is one of those ones that the Giants don't need to
1:03:33
have that many And now I'm kind of going to go against my own point to a degree I'm looking for size but the Giants
1:03:39
might be looking at their tight ends going "Nah our size will come from the tight ends They're going to be the
1:03:44
receiving group in the middle." And we could go four deep at tight end which we've already covered the group And that might mean it doesn't matter whether or
1:03:51
not you're 6'2 63 or you're whether you're 6 feet or 5'11 We just want a guy
1:03:56
that's going to get open and pick up first downs And you know somebody we're not talking enough about but he also
1:04:03
hasn't been making a lot of noise in OTAAS either is Little Jordan Humphrey I just love that name by the way So I
1:04:11
don't know where parents get these names now but little Jordan isn't so little He's 6'4 He's 225 pounds He plays He's a
1:04:18
slot wide receiver That's the thing There's that big slot that I was talking about And
1:04:25
don't slip up on that and he was yeah he he was a uh a very good blocker and as a
1:04:33
if you have a good blocker as a slot receiver that's a that's huge So they
1:04:38
they come down and they they take out the linebackers and he can do that because linebackers aren't big in today's there's no Harry Carson's
1:04:44
roaming roaming middle linebacker today No Jordan Humphre is as big as the middle linebackers he's going to be
1:04:49
facing And um his head coach in his last team loved him Now he's gone because
1:04:55
he's just a guy But if you want he's a guy that I won't completely discount
1:05:00
because of the blocking I you got to have a backup in case Wellel gets hurt So is it going to be a
1:05:08
Jordan Humphrey or I'm sorry li little little Jordan Humphrey or is it going to be Jordan Bllye now Jordan Bllye was a
1:05:16
UDFA that nobody talked about when they signed him for good reason because he didn't do that much in college He did
1:05:22
really well in an All-Star game And um he caught three touchdowns in one
1:05:29
practice already this this this spring and has had another other number of other good days And he's the guy you and
1:05:36
I talked about when they were on inside What is it big blue kickoff live or is it huddle inside huddle with the giant I
1:05:43
forget what it is The one at Datino and it should be big blue kickoff Well what
1:05:48
whatever the show was it was Matt Siteac and it was Paul Datino and I'm repeating
1:05:54
myself but some people might not have heard this They were giving their breakdown of what
1:05:59
had happened in the OTAA that the media hadn't seen and Matt SaitTac started
1:06:05
started to say "Oh and there was this and and and Jordan Bllye and and did
1:06:10
really really well." And then Paul Dino goes "We're not supposed to talk about that." And Matt Scitec looks at him like
1:06:17
"What are you talking about?" He goes "We're not supposed to be talking about that." And then he go he looked really pissed and he said "Well you let the cat
1:06:22
out of the bag now You might as well go ahead." So Jordan Bllye don't sleep on
1:06:28
Jordan Bllye because obviously they told their PR team don't don't don't talk
1:06:36
about this guy So they're trying to hide him Maybe for the practice squad obviously but Jordan Bllye again another
1:06:43
slot receiver He's tiny He's 166 We'll we'll see if he can bulk up a little bit
1:06:48
too But again like I said they need they need to have a a backup slot and we
1:06:54
don't know what's going to happen with Juan Dale after after this year So I wanted to bring in Jordan now because little little Jordan Humphrey and Jordan
1:07:01
Bllye are really sort of the slot guys Um so I think Montreal Washington is another guy that because of his size is
1:07:08
really the slot guy too Um we'll talk about the big guys that everyone I know I can see in chat everyone's talking
1:07:13
about right now and all of them are interesting but I So we have our top
1:07:19
four We ever Smith Marcett is number five or six however you want to call but Right Right Right Who's going to be six
1:07:25
and seven if there's going to be seven we don't even know there'll be a seven If they really like Jordan Bllye and he
1:07:31
continues to do make plays throughout the preseason in training camp Jordan
1:07:36
Bllye could make the team Um Don Camre who was caught only 10 passes his entire
1:07:44
collegiate season collegiate career 10 his entire career not in a season
1:07:51
Everyone thought what what the hell is this the last OTAA he had two down deep
1:07:57
catches down the field and even the Giants um guys were like where is this coming from so I I'm not saying that
1:08:04
means we should pencil him in but all of these guys that we're talking about right now I wouldn't count any of them
1:08:09
out I'm just saying Bryce Ford Weaten has better start doing stuff Little Jordan Humphrey is another guy that I
1:08:16
haven't heard his name called in OTAA so far So those two guys um have to start
1:08:22
stepping it up if they want to make the team Let me put this way If if you're not going um with your guy Zack Pascal
1:08:30
who's the other guy that you're interested in is it Wells to a degree yeah because of the
1:08:36
connection to Dart Um I actually want I again I still lean towards size I I'm
1:08:41
kind of in biased that way So Collins or Felton I would like to see some size
1:08:47
guys there But I also then I'm curious who might get let go from another team
1:08:52
that the Giants might go and snag and bring in as as that that later guy to add to a group that has some size and
1:08:58
that or or whatever they just think it brings I think if if um Amir Smith Marett shows Yeah I know I saw that
1:09:05
shows um enough offensively in camp That's huge for the Giants because now
1:09:12
you've got a guy who who Smith Marcett if he shows offensively shows stuff
1:09:18
because that again that frees up a spot You've got a legitimate last receiver on your list potentially still being a guy
1:09:26
Now one thing I want to bring up real quick You you mentioned uh Calbra there with his total number of receptions to
1:09:31
give you an idea of how crazy that is to think of that he's on this team even trying to make the team David Tyrie in
1:09:39
college had 75 receptions A guy that was a complete afterthought
1:09:45
for the Giants was never going to either I've never heard of a receiver being signed by a team that only had 10 10
1:09:51
receptions I've never heard of that before But Camre is apparently is a special teams ace including things like
1:09:59
hold being a holder but he but and he was an other guy during again inside
1:10:04
this Giants huddle or whatever his big blue kickoff live um John Schmilk said I think it was John
1:10:11
Schmilk said um we're not supposed to list all the places he's lined up So
1:10:17
he's another guy that they're been like "Shh don't talk too much about," which I'm surprised they're even saying that
1:10:24
cuz we're listening Giants I'm picking up this stuff It's still the OTAAS though right like I mean yeah I know I
1:10:30
know I don't mean for you I mean for them Okay calm down It's not like it was training camp and they're not going to
1:10:35
use them in games This is OTAAS I'm like and plus if Jordan and Camre
1:10:42
light it up in training camp it's not a secret No one everyone's going to see it you know be like "Who who the hell's number
1:10:49
five?" They'll be like "Who's the who is that guy?" So now Bo Collins Felton and Wells I put in the
1:10:57
same category as like when we signed them it was like "Oh great free agent
1:11:03
signing Great undrafted rookie free agent signing." All of them you could have said could have been a sixth
1:11:09
seventh round draft pick All of them got size All of them at one point in their co collegiate careers were considered
1:11:16
draftable players and guys that um were on the radar They were going into the
1:11:23
their senior year people were saying keep an eye sigh to the point where Sai
1:11:28
said early in in earlier in Wells's career
1:11:33
he had him really high as a potential second or first round draft pick good
1:11:39
That's what we're talking about Now the thing on Wells is he's not a blazer but he's quick for his size and he's bounced
1:11:47
around with this with the these these portals where people can change college which drives me crazy Yeah he went from
1:11:53
South W where he went from James Madison to South Carolina I think to ending up
1:11:58
playing with with our new quarterback Dart Um I think don't sleep on him
1:12:05
because he's he he again he's got a pedigree and plus he's got a relationship with Dart Felton I saw a
1:12:11
series of clips on Felton Man that guy can block Felton's not just big but that guy that guy was one of the people that
1:12:17
I followed on Twitter said he was the best blocking wide receiver in in college football last year And I was
1:12:23
kind of when people make statements like that I'm like how do you how do you know that and then I saw the highlight clip this guy put together and I was like
1:12:30
"Holy crap this guy this guy really." Now that doesn't mean he's got to be a receiver in order to make the team But
1:12:36
if you do that kind of thing that helps Um and Bo Collins was the of the three
1:12:41
was the kind of the guy that I sort of put down at the bottom of the three until some guy I also follow said Bo
1:12:49
Collins was one of the best wide receivers in all of college football getting off of press coverage that he is
1:12:56
a nightmare to get He's a nightmare to try to jam at the line of scrimmage His problem at Notre Dame was drops but he's
1:13:04
another guy is very important Yes he but he's another guy with size And if you
1:13:09
can get off press coverage with size as an outside receiver that's a huge advantage And he had a really good week
1:13:16
last week in OTAAS He he stood out in OTAAS last week So people are going to say OTAAS it doesn't matter You're right
1:13:23
It doesn't this all doesn't matter but it's a lot better than saying man none of these guys were doing anything in
1:13:28
OTAAS so every so the guys that have made noise that I that have caught my attention because of the noise that they
1:13:34
made com Collins Felton Wells um the only time I heard Zack Pascal is
1:13:41
that first Jameus Winston interception bounced off of Pascal hands and was
1:13:47
returned the other way Smith Marsett is surprisingly been very very noticeable
1:13:54
Um Montreal Washington actually I think had a decent week this week I haven't heard anything from little Jordan
1:13:59
Humphrey and nothing on Bryce Ford Weaten So long story short I think we know who our top four are going to be
1:14:06
I think we know that Amir Smith Marcett is going to make the team and the
1:14:11
question is is now who's number six and do they carry a number seven and again
1:14:16
when people say "Well that sucks." Just remember three of these guys are probably going to be in the practice
1:14:22
squad I like that That's uh that's that's a that's a good point Uh so Oh yeah I mean
1:14:31
and again and no doubt but there's also there's also the Victor Cruises of the
1:14:36
world too So let's not So I will say this too keep an eye on um at the end of
1:14:41
camp If if out of nowhere one of the young guys ends up on IR and there was
1:14:48
no thought of any major thing that happened is the Giants really like him don't think he's ready this year and
1:14:54
aren't going to risk him sitting on the practice squad um where he could get taken by somebody else So that's
1:14:59
happened before that if they like somebody So like when you look at when you look at Bllye the one thing about BL
1:15:05
is he's really small He's tall He is thin He he needs a year in a weight room That that would be a bad combination of
1:15:11
six feet and 166 pounds I'm like I mean I'd like to be 166 pounds That
1:15:18
so for a wide receiver not so good Um I I think one of the things too to kind of
1:15:24
look at and we you've talked about it um ad
1:15:30
nauseium really you've mentioned it multiple times Cam Scatabo is a really good receiver and if the Giants use
1:15:37
their re their running backs out in patterns a lot then there might not be spaces for other guys They might not go
1:15:44
four wide on the field at the same time They're keeping a back who's going to go out into the pass pattern We're going to
1:15:50
have probably four tight ends and a couple of them are going to be receo's a
1:15:55
receiving tight end who's big enough to block Bellinger we don't know about what the deal is with him Mhm We don't know
1:16:01
if Dolce is going to make the team but he is a receiving tight end Fedoni is a is a guy who can definitely be a
1:16:06
receiving tight end over the middle These are guys that the Giants are going to have multiple people throw to They might not need seven receivers deep
1:16:14
They're six could be it And and so some of these guys they might really only be
1:16:19
playing for the practice squad or to bump somebody else If Hyatt struggles by the way and we don't know that he won't
1:16:25
yet He hasn't proven anything If Hayyatt struggles he's out And then then what happens now you got to move people
1:16:31
around Um and then who's gonna stay so right it it is up for grabs and and you know Pascal for me I picked him but now
1:16:39
that I think about it a little bit too my concern is his age comparatively speaking that if the Giants really want
1:16:45
they can go younger and control the cost even more by going younger than than Pascal Even vet minimum for Pascal is
1:16:51
more than the rookies Remember you can put old guys on the practice squad now too So you know we were talking about I
1:16:57
mean he's not an old guy but I was saying I think the Giants will carry three running backs Oh I would and put Eric Eric Gray on the practice squad
1:17:04
because I don't I mean I think there's I don't think they need I I will be very surprised however if they don't carry
1:17:10
four tight ends this year And I will be very surprised if they don't carry three quarterbacks I think it's a pro It's a
1:17:15
given they're going to carry three quarterbacks Sure So so they've gota So
1:17:21
seven wide receivers is a lot And um Tyrone Tracy played wide receiver Again
1:17:28
another guy he's got to cut down on the drops but he played wide receiver Um Scataboo
1:17:35
plays the position like I don't have you I mean have you seen his highlights he catches like a wide he's wing passes He
1:17:43
can they in in the one of the playoff games on the line they spread him out had him
1:17:49
run down the field um on a fly route and and he was covered and he caught the
1:17:55
ball and in in the biggest of situations I forget whether it was third and long or fourth and long and it was like holy
1:18:01
crap and he he he does that I mean he's he he has wide receiver-l like hands and
1:18:06
he he he'll make the catch and contact so I I think and this gets back to earlier question I think train master had about
1:18:14
what you just talked about that you know they'll probably because of the running backs they could probably go with six
1:18:20
six wide receivers too So right we'll see that So so again don't forget the
1:18:26
practice squad Don't discount the practice squad John brought up a good point that if somebody's really good and
1:18:31
they they they try to get away from this because the in the old days in the 80s and 90s teams used to do this all the
1:18:38
time They used to stash people on IR with fake injuries And the Redskins were infamous for doing that And because of
1:18:43
the Redskins they had to change the rules Um the but the problem with that is once you do that the player can't
1:18:50
practice anymore He can't be doing anything with the team So you prefer not to do that Plus it's it's
1:18:57
illegal is the wrong word but it's illegal to do that So team I don't know how they how they police that anymore
1:19:03
but then you're not supposed to do that right so I think I think we got a ton of questions and we also have questions on
1:19:09
in the forum too um to bring up So I'd like to get unless you want to finish up So I think we've covered the wide
1:19:15
receivers I think it's Oh Gabe Davis One last thing The Gabe Davis John and I talked about Gabe Davis in our last show
1:19:22
on the um the OTOTA review Uh we came to the
1:19:28
conclusion that if Giants signed Gabe Davis it's a really bad sign for Jaylen Hyatt That doesn't mean they won't do it
1:19:34
but Gabe Davis and Jaylen High basically seem to us to be sort of like the same
1:19:39
type of player And I don't think it's a good sign for for Jaylen And I think John said the same thing I don't think
1:19:46
it's a good That doesn't mean they won't do it but that's what our view is And I don't think he's healthy right now And
1:19:51
he's making the rounds Everyone's checking out his knee He'll be healthy at some point And that may work to the
1:19:57
Giants advantage right now because they might want to see how Jaylen Hyatt does
1:20:02
early in training camp And if he's having problem because now they can hit
1:20:07
now they can jam And if Jaylen's having problems then you could say you know what we're going to bring in Gabe Davis
1:20:14
I mean that's that's my view on this I I totally agree I think I don't think
1:20:20
there's I I don't think you could overstate it If they sign Gabe Davis there really is not a path for Jaylen
1:20:25
Hyatt He doesn't play special teams He's not going to be covering anything He's not returning kicks So that pretty much
1:20:32
takes him out of out of anything If if if the one position which is him running deep is now being filled by another guy
1:20:39
who can run deep but doesn't do a lot of other stuff either and he's not going to play special teams either What What does
1:20:46
he bring to the table at that point so basically you're you're just one guy They're the same guy So if you bring in
1:20:51
a guy like that it's because you don't like the guy you got And that's really to me it's a really bad sign Now if they
1:20:57
go get somebody completely different right so let's say because I've seen it all over X Um let's say Chris Olive is
1:21:04
available and from the Saints and if the Giants want a legit I want another
1:21:09
receiver on the other side minus the concussion stuff Olive is a legitimate
1:21:16
second Ave would take Sllayton's job Not in terms of getting him off the roster but
1:21:21
a lav would probably knock Sllayton out of the starting lineup Sllayton would be four and you would go from there I don't
1:21:27
think you bring in a Gabe Davis though for anything other than he's to replace Jaylen Hyatt That's the only reason you
1:21:33
would bring him in right i mean that's how I I mean they're the same type of player right that's how I see it So um I
1:21:39
don't think it's impossible to happen And I I think um why are we talking about naked he's giving you [Ā __Ā ] because
1:21:46
you [Ā __Ā ] on it The trailer in the in the site today I love the Naked Gun series
1:21:52
That nude movie looks like [Ā __Ā ] but that's me But I've got my concerns but I'm holding out
1:21:59
I I'm a big Leslie Nielsen fan I I just I I think there's some movies you don't remake And not that it's a classic like
1:22:05
you don't remake Psycho if you want to talk about classics You don't remake Naked Gun You then that's a movie that
1:22:10
did not need to be remade I'm sorry But anyways um All right going But it's not technically being remade It's a sequel
1:22:17
Uh whatever I mean come on Get some new ideas He's the son He's the son No I get it I get it Oh Jesus Christ It's like
1:22:23
all they do know is I know you hate it You hate that there's no original ideas I know I know All right All right So um
1:22:31
yeah So I think we're done with Let's do questions Um and just talk about anything but unless there's something we
1:22:37
missed in chat on the wide or we'll get to that in the in the question No I think we pretty much I mean for every we've been throwing things up as they go
1:22:43
Um and uh obviously I gave a I wanted to give a shout out to our super chat from Across the Pond He's been awesome with
1:22:50
us They've got they've got a big rugby match coming up uh July 4th I believe He
1:22:55
said it was like 6:30 in the morning Uh Tudtor you can put it put it in here and let people know but I'll remind folks as
1:23:01
we get closer again Uh so we could check that out as well Uh and his he's uh you get Ken caught up with his voice from
1:23:08
from uh college at from Princeton there So anyway anyway yes So have you had some uh some questions in the site i
1:23:15
think we probably could start with those Yeah there's there's a series of questions from from Angel Eyes Just real quick as far as wide receiver skill sets
1:23:22
should the Giants get contested catch specialist or a slot receiver in free agency in the draft next year Um there's
1:23:29
there's two more quick questions but let's address that one first I I just want them to get a good player So so if
1:23:36
they go in the next look I if we go come out of this season and Neighbors is
1:23:42
doing it all again and nobody seems to be helping him it's time to let Wandelle
1:23:48
go It's time to move on from Sllayton And I don't care if you get it You
1:23:54
probably have to get a slot and and an and an outside receiver at that point But if Juell does really well and
1:24:00
Sllayton doesn't then you focus on the outside receiver So it really depends on which Sllayton and Wand and Hyatt I mean
1:24:07
if Hyatt has if Hyatt again Hyatt's not going to get a ton of touches because he's the fourth receiver People got to
1:24:14
have to remember that too If we get in a game if we get into the regular season and people are like at the end of the
1:24:19
game the Giants win We won 24 to 17 and we threw for 300 yards and people are
1:24:25
going why did Hyatt only get one catch well he's the fourth wide receiver Now it sounds like I'm making excuses for
1:24:30
him I'm not I mean I'm saying if you're the fourth wide receiver on the team you're probably not getting that many
1:24:35
chances especially if you got Malik Neighbors on the team So the Giants have
1:24:40
have got those wide receivers they've got the tight ends they've got and now they've got the running backs You want
1:24:46
to spread the ball around So long my answer John to that question is it depends on who
1:24:53
who does what I think the qu the interesting question here you and I have talked about this before If you get a
1:24:58
receiver next year if it's you John you're you're Joe Shane You're Joe Shane
1:25:04
You have you know you have Malik Neighbors Do you want a
1:25:09
big outside receiver contested catch guy
1:25:14
may not get separation but gets the 5050 balls or do you want an other guy who
1:25:21
separates and and and may not be the biggest guy who or does it matter or you
1:25:27
just want the best guy Okay two things real quick The first one I'm going to say is if I'm Joe Shane my son better
1:25:33
not post the guy that I'm going to draft right before we're going to draft him Oh you're going to spank him Yeah Well
1:25:40
a little little too old for that But uh and and again this is public He would be
1:25:46
talked to very sternly Um I want to get
1:25:51
kind of old school Neighbors is our Michael Irvin Then I want my Alvin Harper I want a guy that is maybe going
1:25:58
to get 50 receptions during the year but 25 of them are going to be for 40 yards or more You know I want I want a guy
1:26:05
that's going down the field is going to blow it up and make that guy better The problem that I have with that question
1:26:10
is that I started to think about it as you were talking If you take Sllayton
1:26:16
out of the equation as well he's got a contract but again he is who he is We
1:26:21
could potentially be needing three of our top four receiving positions replaced next year Three Wandell could
1:26:29
be going Hayyatt's number four Hyatt Yeah I don't worry about that And then Sllayton and Sllayton's the third one
1:26:35
And Sllayton's the third one He's under contract but he's just a guy The only real guy that you 100% right now know
1:26:41
you're correct is Neighbors I think somebody on the roster right now that's a rookie is going to surprise us I I I I
1:26:49
hope it's not what you're talking about Well that's making the team but I mean again we're talking about if we're going to go to the next level you've got to
1:26:55
have really good players So what I'm hoping for is that again I'm hoping Juan Dell is the guy we thought he was when
1:27:02
we drafted him with a better quarterback I'm hoping that Jaylen Hyatt can replace
1:27:07
Sllayton That's really ultimately not necessarily for this year but going forward that you go you know what he did
1:27:13
enough We see enough He can be he can be Sllayton And then you some of somebody else to come in and be a legit number
1:27:20
two on the other side But right now I'm concerned that we might only have one receiver next year when this season's
1:27:27
over Right The way I look at this too is this All right So because of the draft simulators sorry When you look at the
1:27:34
wide receivers that are going to be next year's draft it's who's on the board at the time when you pick True There are some really good wide receivers that are
1:27:41
big and there's some really good wide receivers that are not so big but they're better at quickness and speed
1:27:47
and that kind of thing So a lot of it's some of that's taken out of your hands So I've done these simulations for 2026
1:27:54
which is way too early I get it because people are going to go going up and down and there'll be players that are good now or considered good that are are not
1:28:01
going to be good and vice versa But it does get you into the mindset of a GM when you're when when you're like a wide
1:28:08
re you're looking for a wide receiver or saying round two and you're like well that's the only guy that's available
1:28:14
that's any good then that your decisions kind of made for you at that point too And and a lot of it gets back to what
1:28:19
John just said If Wandelle's really good and they resign him we don't need a slot receiver If Sllayton has a really good
1:28:26
year then maybe we don't have to go out and draft another wide receiver high Doesn't mean we don't address the
1:28:32
position doesn't mean we don't bring other people in It just depends on what's going on Second question he had was um this is this is the question that
1:28:40
you and I have at all off season How much do you anticipate the Giants using a twoman defensive line they implemented
1:28:47
for a few years that's been the consternation of many on this board angel eyes I watched a um YouTube video
1:28:56
this week on someone explaining the different coverages that are prevalent
1:29:02
now in the NFL Um and what was interesting they were using
1:29:08
Baltimore Raven tape the um the all the all um 22 tape they were showing and the
1:29:16
Baltimore Ravens were using a twoman defensive line And it got me thinking how much has this become the norm in the
1:29:22
NFL so we're going to have Carl Banks on this week I want to ask Carl Banks about this right because Carl Banks came from
1:29:29
a three four two gap system in the 80s where you had three down defensive
1:29:35
linemen four linebackers the outside line linebackers being Lawrence Taylor and Carl Banks So it was almost like a
1:29:42
fiveman front And now we've gone to sort of like a fourman front in a three four now where it's the the ends are not
1:29:50
Leonard Marshall and George Martin they're the outside linebackers and the and and the Ravens were doing the same
1:29:56
thing And I bet you this is a trend that maybe we're not picking up as Giants fans because we we saw Wink do it and we
1:30:03
saw Shane Bowen do it but maybe a lot of teams are doing it now So that you you look at them and because what caught
1:30:08
everyone's attention is when the Giants came out with their depth chart under Wink They had two defensive linemen and
1:30:17
and four linebackers because they showed the nickel And my issue with with with John Schmelk when he was on the show was
1:30:24
kind of like well in the old days when you wanted to do a nickel you took a the middle one of the middle linebackers off the field right and you had you had the
1:30:30
fifth defensive back Now it seems to be that they've taken pretty much taken the the third defensive lineman off the
1:30:36
field So if I'm the Philadelphia Eagles and I don't want Abdul Carter and Kavon Tibidel and Brian Burns pass rushing the
1:30:44
crap out of me I'm going to run the ball on you because I don't want to I don't want to face you on third and eight I'm
1:30:49
just going to run the ball on you and keep you in third and one So that's my fear too But to address your question
1:30:55
this may be like the new thing It may be they have a nose tackle and a three technique and the ends the ends now are
1:31:03
are linebackers and I'm not crazy about that but I'd like someone to explain to me why they think that's going to work
1:31:09
because as far as the Giants it hasn't been working to date and we've got Dexter Lawrence If you can't make that
1:31:14
work with Dexter Lawrence then you've got a problem So when we first Someone
1:31:20
explain that to me I don't know When we when we first put it in it was under Wink And who did we have also outside
1:31:28
when we went to that that lineup williams right well he was one of the two Oh oh you mean Ward Oh yeah So you
1:31:36
you had a 275 plus pound guy basically playing standup
1:31:41
defensive end on that that he was a linebacker for and you had him on that side But when you when that guy is Kavon
1:31:49
Tibido he has far less bulk than Jiadi Ward
1:31:54
right and you're asking him to do stuff that actually takes away from what it is
1:31:59
he brings to the table You know it's kind of that old thing of of and I've brought it up many many times before
1:32:05
because it pisses me off even to till this day is you switch to a 4-3 defense and then you draft Clint to play outside
1:32:12
linebacker in a 4-3 The dude was not a 4-3 outside linebacker You're now asking Kavon to essentially be a a a five
1:32:20
technique defensive end but as a standup outside guy and you want him to take on on the running game with the two
1:32:26
defensive linemen It just wasn't working Teams are dictating to us I I don't know
1:32:31
what their plan is and I can't wait to hear Carl's take on this But regardless the Giants are going to have to win
1:32:37
early on those downs to then take advantage of those pass rush guys If we
1:32:42
don't those pass rush guys are going to constantly be playing the run and on
1:32:47
second and third downs and it's going to take their effectiveness away completely And the wild card in all this is Chanty
1:32:54
Goldston So Chanty Goldston to me is not a linebacker They've given him a
1:32:59
linebacker number They they're going to play him at three technique defensive tackle and and pass
1:33:07
rush downs at times And apparently he's again they can't do too much in OTAAS but people have been Giants employees
1:33:14
have been saying don't sleep on Chanty Don't they said it today I saw a thing today where they were saying don't sleep on Chanty If Chanty and Dallas played
1:33:23
that five technique four technique four eye position like Jihad Ward played with
1:33:29
when the Giants were here So if they envision him being like Ward then that's a good sign for us Of course that begs
1:33:36
the question how does that fit in with Kavon and at that point and stuff like that So but Chanty Goston might be a
1:33:44
good sign that the Giants have learned their lesson I don't I don't know because part of this again gets into the
1:33:50
draft next year because if they come out of this year and they're still having trouble trouble defending the run I I
1:33:57
don't know if Shane Bowen's going to make it number one But number two something they're there's no excuse for
1:34:03
them not to be able It's not a personnel problem anymore They drafted Darius Alexander They brought in Chanty
1:34:08
Goldston They brought in uh Roy Roberts and Harris who's a decent player He's a huge He's a huge guy Dexter Lawrence is
1:34:16
the best nose tackle in football without a doubt They shouldn't be having these problems And now they've got all these
1:34:22
you know edge elite edge guys and plus they've got defensive backs who can tackle now So um Nuben and Holland are
1:34:30
great run defending safeties and and and Banks and and Adibbo are big
1:34:37
corners They they're they're so big they look like safeties I don't think people realize they're going to be Giants are
1:34:43
going to be pleasantly surprised when they see Paul Adibbo how big a corner he is And and Tay Banks for whatever you
1:34:50
feel about him he's a big physical dude as well too So if they can't defend the
1:34:55
run there it's a schematic problem And I'd like Carl Banks to explain this to me because he came from a system where
1:35:01
they had three two three defensive linemen up front and then they had Lawrence Taylor and I'm
1:35:08
going to show the plays if you guys join us this when I'm going to show the from the 49er
1:35:14
um Giants We are record We are recording it So it won't be live It'll be recorded Oh it'll be recorded Okay Well you guys
1:35:20
will see the see it but we're going to show clips of Carl Banks um setting the
1:35:25
edge They didn't call it that back then when we were a fan Funny that no one talked about but that's what he's doing
1:35:30
And nobody did it better than car than than than Carl Banks And I'd like him to explain what the hell are the and it's
1:35:36
not just the Giants Like I said the the Ravens were doing it So I think it's a league thing
1:35:42
for So for train master I'll I can answer that one So Matias coming out though Matias was a surprise by the way
1:35:49
The Giants drafted Matias and they they had a number of other needs and they went they went defensive line but they
1:35:54
really made Matias they brought him in and they kind of moved him to to be more of a a linebacker He played down uh
1:36:02
every now and then but he was more of a standup guy from time to time So it was really a weird transitional piece for
1:36:07
for Matias Um and so I it's I think they they struggled less on finding a spot
1:36:13
for him as much as they were trying to use him differently because he wasn't a traditional defensive end but he
1:36:20
definitely wasn't an outside line I had a different a little bit of different take I think they struggled finding a place to put Matias because we were so
1:36:27
rich at defensive end that they were tr trying trying to find a way to get him on the field I think if Matias had gone
1:36:33
to another team he would have had a different career I think he was stuck behind awesome players and Matias was a
1:36:39
good player and they were just trying to figure out how so in a a lot of ways and it sounds like they're doing it Um just
1:36:45
pray they know how to use Abdul Carter because I don't want Abdul Carter to be another Matias but they are but they are
1:36:51
massively different players Oh yeah No but what I'm saying right but Right But
1:36:56
and but what I'm saying is they kind of forced Matias I think into a role that he wasn't well suited for If Matias if
1:37:03
Justin Trump wasn't ahead of Matias Matias would have had a different career I think But but Justin see again I I
1:37:09
don't know if I agree with that Matias wasn't really a traditional defensive end He wasn't going to beat those other
1:37:15
defensive ends out but the Giants to get him on for this pass rush ability They So they wanted him on the field so they
1:37:21
were using him at linebacker to do some of that stuff which he had a couple of time I think he had an interception He
1:37:27
dropped a clear interception It would have been a touchdown Um he had a sack that he let Vince Young go for some random reason Um yes on that because I
1:37:35
think he was a defensive end that was playing out of position I think he was he was an OC He was a meth Justin Tuck
1:37:43
He was a strahan type a defensive end but they just couldn't So they put they used a NASCAR They would could get could
1:37:49
get him on the field but they but when it wasn't third and long they were like we don't want him we don't want him It's
1:37:56
the same thing we've talked about with Abdul Carter in and Tibido and and at
1:38:01
different positions but we just we don't want somebody in a square The good the
1:38:07
advantage is this is Abdul Carter has played linebacker Correct He can do that I'm not worried
1:38:13
about it I'm not as worried about it I just I just hope they There was an interesting exchange today on one of the
1:38:20
Giants Um again was it was their huddle broadcast or whatever it was John Schmilk and um the guy from um Giants
1:38:29
Insider was on and both of them said they had based on what they've seen in
1:38:34
practice They said we can't talk about they said we can't talk about it but based on what we've seen we have no
1:38:40
concerns whatsoever And they both said this We have no concerns whatsoever that the Giants are not going to be able to
1:38:46
figure out how to get all three on the field So I think they've seen I think they're We saw the clip We saw the clip
1:38:52
of that wasn't supposed to get out of all three of them on the field rushing It sounds like there's more of that And
1:38:59
what did that I know it's OTAAS right but what did that clip look like go back
1:39:05
and look at the video that we did on the 84 season and look at the highlight
1:39:11
against the Cowboys right you've got Andy Heden was outside You I think uh
1:39:16
that was early season so I think Byron Hunt was on the outside and LT was in
1:39:22
the middle Came right up the field I mean that's the kind of that's the kind of versatility that Carter can bring The
1:39:29
other thing I'll say going back to to Matias real quick and not necessarily about Matias himself but the situation
1:39:35
he was in You keep bringing up Justin Tuck and I think that's a good thing to bring up but Justin Tuck when we got
1:39:40
Justin Tuck Yeah Right When we got Justin Tuck I believe when he was drafted they listed him as 6'4 245
1:39:48
Justin Tuck was bigger than that And he ultimately the Giants when they would go into those those NASCAR packages Tuck
1:39:55
would slide inside he would become a defensive tackle Matias was never going to be that guy He was always going to
1:40:01
have to be on the outside He was long He was tall 66 67 and he would but he was angular so they had to put him on the on
1:40:08
the outside Didn't Didn't he do both though he did not He did not play in the middle He was He was the outside guy No
1:40:13
I thought he did both Okay I'd have to um They didn't want Oce doing that I know that OC wasn't a guy You wanted him
1:40:20
coming off the corner Um Right Right I thought I thought I I'd have to go back
1:40:26
right but I I you know I know talk was in the middle I know I know they they put in the middle So all right Let's get
1:40:32
to other questions here too Um there was one more from Angel Eyes but let's give some other real quick I want to just
1:40:39
address it It's separate of defense It was in the chat about Sllayton The the thing was brought up that the Giants
1:40:45
signed Sllayton because they they didn't have confidence in in um in Hyatt I I'm
1:40:51
gonna disagree slightly I don't think Sllayton's signing had anything to do with Hyatt per se No I don't either I
1:40:57
actually think the Giants at the time didn't know who their quarterback was going to be because they signed at that
1:41:03
point I believe they had signed Winston or they were about to sign Winston but Wilson still wasn't signed when we
1:41:09
resigned Sllayton I think they knew they weren't signing another free agent wide receiver from somewhere else There was
1:41:15
talk that maybe T Higgins might be a guy that they could go after but ultimately he got tagged so that wasn't going to
1:41:20
happen So they really weren't looking in another direction They weren't trading They weren't signing I think they signed
1:41:26
him because they basically know you know we can't we can't go and try to find new
1:41:31
people at every single position while we're still trying to find a quarterback And the fact of the matter is Eric
1:41:37
brought it up right in the beginning I think the Giants have pretty much decided that their biggest woes with
1:41:43
even the players that they had was because of one guy not because of the other Right or wrong Right or wrong
1:41:48
That's the decision There's no way There's no way around it They brought every starter back on offense except the
1:41:55
quarterback So John and I did a one of the better shows I think John and I did
1:42:01
was our free agents preview I think we you and I nailed our and I'm not historically very good at
1:42:07
like predicting free agent moves but I think you and I nailed the free agent preview We said the offensive players
1:42:14
available weren't very good The ones that were ultimately going to be available We knew some people were going to get protected and they did Um but we
1:42:22
we you and I had the same reaction The wide receiver market in free agency was awful And I said to you at the time I
1:42:28
said "You know what i I thought Sllayton was going to there they were going to let Sllayton walk But after I looked at
1:42:35
who was available around the entire league I said to you I said I'd bring Sllayton back at this point because he
1:42:42
in terms of age ability still potential because he still
1:42:48
has potential He was the most interesting guy Now the only other guy I mentioned as a veteran sort of because
1:42:55
of the ties and thank god the Giants didn't do it was was Stefon Diggs and
1:43:02
Talk about boat parties So what's the pink substance Dicks yeah
1:43:08
Anyways what what what's your problem yeah So but um anyways we won't go there
1:43:15
All right So um but the wide receiver for free agent market stunk and so I think I you know and and Sllayton made
1:43:23
an interesting comment in his first interview back He said he didn't think he was
1:43:29
going to be back too And I don't I don't know if I don't remember I'd have to rewatch it if he meant it He I think he
1:43:35
was talking about he didn't think he would be back Not that just the Giants when when people Yeah I didn't take it that he thought the Giants didn't want
1:43:42
him back I I took it like he was like I didn't think I'd become Yeah that's why I took it So um and then he was excited
1:43:50
about the quarterback situation before we had a quarterback Remember because we were like "What does he know?" Remember
1:43:55
we were like Yeah Which tells me Yeah He he knew they told him what they were planning to do Yeah So it was kind of
1:44:01
like um you know and and I don't want to go off on a tangent too much but I guess they the guy with Cleveland didn't
1:44:07
really know what was going on going on either Remember we were trying to figure out um the defensive uh what's his name
1:44:14
the guy that signed a huge contract with Oh yeah Yeah Miles Garrett Miles Garrett Remember he we were like well who because he was saying he he said I know
1:44:21
what's going to happen We're going to get somebody It wasn't it wasn't getting around We know that So what was he what
1:44:28
was he jacked up about so anyways that's they The Cleveland's idea of getting a
1:44:33
quarterback was getting everybody Yes Dropping a couple Gabriel you know they
1:44:39
were It wasn't He wasn't coming on there going "Oh we're getting Dylan Gabriel." That wasn't that wasn't it So anyways um
1:44:45
All right you pick the next question Um I'm trying to think I was looking real quick here Well I'll do one that's not
1:44:52
really related to anything on the Giants teamwise but Paul wants to know "What's the deal with the merchandise?" That's
1:44:58
me dropping the ball on this We're We We're going to do something We have to revise the logo a little bit because if
1:45:05
we keep the NY in the helmet I'm sure someone's going to hit us with a trademark or copyright violation So
1:45:12
we'll use something similar We were thinking about maybe doing um pints We have this cool etched can't see it right
1:45:18
now but it's got the it's got um we have the logo in it And when we're talking
1:45:23
thinking about uh shirts maybe and mugs and hats and stuff we we'll do something but we've got to slightly revise the
1:45:29
artwork and we'll do something So um in the works let's put it that way It's in the works Yeah Um and then on the last
1:45:36
qu we have a ton of questions here but the last question we had on the site was for linemen both sides of the ball
1:45:42
What's more important between agility power or arm length and on a related note which way do you think Marcus Bo
1:45:49
will project between tackle and interior offensive lineman that seems to be a favorite favorite thing Well f first
1:45:56
part of that is again and this is going to sound like a copout Um
1:46:02
all of those things are important So arm length is be I think arm length has become I think people gotten a little
1:46:09
too obsessed with arm length but it's clearly important But if you we learned from we learned from um Evan Neil you
1:46:15
better be able to have some agility And um I would I'd be a little bit more
1:46:21
worried Let me give you give you a perfect example again because Dave Del Cole's out there The Alabama lineman
1:46:27
that's coming out Um Pro is it Proctor kaden Proctor He's 360 pounds A ton of
1:46:35
people have him as a top five draft pick I wouldn't touch him I don't want an outbound guy I I he he's almost too big
1:46:42
and Aan Neil has scared me with that and there are people you know what a couple of the reports I've seen on him
1:46:47
questions about his balance So I'm like Alabama lineman questions with balance
1:46:52
top five pick I'm not I'm not touching I'm not touching him So So old days you
1:47:00
you talk to me I would always say power but I'm not so sure anymore in today's NFL given what the Giants do on offense
1:47:06
too We're not a power running team So um that would be my I don't know if you have a different answer on that No I was
1:47:12
No the only thing that I think of now arm length is great but if you have long
1:47:19
arms and not a lot of strength I don't care how long arms you are they get pushed back into your body It doesn't matter Too short is a problem Like if
1:47:26
you're if you're constantly having to over So you're leaning over your feet to try to reach guys So it's all about I if
1:47:34
you're put it this way if you're a shorter armed guy I hope you have a background in wrestling because I think
1:47:40
you'll be better able to in close quarters use your hands properly get yourself where you need to go If you're
1:47:46
if you're a longer arm guy I want you to have some sort of basketball background a little bit I want you to be able to
1:47:52
flu you know fluidly move with your legs and keep your hands where they need to be right but if you're just long armed
1:47:59
and you lack and you lack the foot speed to move where you need to you're not stopping anybody You're not even
1:48:04
directing them as they go by So I think it gets overblown on both ends of the equation I think it's really the more
1:48:10
the makeup But if if I'm l if I have a player lacking in a physical trait then
1:48:16
I really want them to be an I want them to be a guy who's an overachiever in in in many aspects I want them to have that
1:48:22
extra tenacity I want them to be a guy that things didn't get handed to them that they've really had to work to get
1:48:28
there because you I think they overcome their their lack of of of whatever that piece is If you're physically gifted but
1:48:35
you're lacking some physical traits for the NFL at a lower level of college you can get by with that because your
1:48:40
competition's not that great When you go up in competition then you get exposed So I want So it really depends And
1:48:46
length has become very important on the defensive side of the ball across the board I've noticed this It's It's
1:48:52
interesting you go back a number of years and maybe Dave Dave Del Cole will disagree with me in this because he f
1:48:57
focuses on the draft much more than I do but I didn't really hear arm length
1:49:02
being obsessed about that much until it's always been talked about but it seems to be really and they talk about
1:49:09
length now defensive edge setters now a lot not just height and when I talk
1:49:14
length I'm talking about wingspan um you even see about outside corners now they
1:49:20
don't want just tall guys they want guys that that are hard to throw over with the length in their arms So I don't want
1:49:27
to minimize it but what John said too is you like I'll give you another example Um there are two offensive tackles
1:49:34
coming out of Utah this year that are both awesome One's a right tackle and one's a left tackle Everybody who's
1:49:41
watched these guys play say they're awesome but but they they say "Oh they we have to check on their arm length and
1:49:48
they might have to kick inside if the arm length isn't there." And I'm I'm still thinking like all right if you're
1:49:53
a good player it's the same thing with Marcus B We're gonna find out And then that was the second part of the question
1:49:59
They're gonna try him out at at tackle And part of the reason I think they're going to try him at tackle first is I think in the back of their mind they're
1:50:05
protecting themsel against Aluminor leaving in free agency next year So I think they want to get some protection
1:50:12
there And then also Marcus isn't a a big bulked up guy And sometimes now in the
1:50:19
NFL you want your bigger guys This is why Evan Neil actually might work out at guard Sometimes you want your guy your big physical guys inside especially in
1:50:27
the NFC East and you want your more nimler guys on the outside especially if
1:50:32
you run a lot of zone um running plays and things like that I I'd love to know what kind of running game we're going to
1:50:37
have because that will tell us a lot about where people will line up But my guess is Marcus Bo is going to be a
1:50:44
backup tackle for us this year Where where is he going to ultimately ultimately be that's going to they be
1:50:51
based on how he does at tackle I think if he does really well at tackle why would you move him right so and I think
1:50:56
a lot of a lot of that too Um and we we want to be cognizant of the amount of time Um one of the things you you got to
1:51:04
consider too is like the totality of the team can tend to
1:51:10
affect all areas of the team And we get focused on some of the bad parts of this
1:51:15
or that And so they're trying to improve it and and and in reality everything else played a a contributing factor to
1:51:23
where you were So we keep saying well the Giants offensive line has been [Ā __Ā ] and that's why they haven't Is it that the only reason or has the quarterback
1:51:29
play been so bad that the offensive line has been exposed because teams aren't afraid of anything and they were just
1:51:34
coming at you kitchen sink Okay maybe that's true Was the quarterback play so bad by itself or was it also the fact
1:51:42
that the Giants receivers like 22 21 20 we overpaid for a Kenny Gay that clearly
1:51:48
was I mean if he was a heart monitor it' be a flatline you you clearly everything
1:51:54
affects everything else so we don't really know cuz look at the 88 Giants that go back a ways but that offensive
1:51:59
line they they played around with it multiple times throughout the year it was a fifth round guy in Doug Rezenberg
1:52:06
who becomes the right tackle Mhm It's a second round draft pick who many thought
1:52:12
could only be a right tackle and after his first game against the Cowboys thought "God this guy can't play
1:52:17
tackle." Ends up being your starting Pro Bowl left tackle A your number one draft
1:52:23
pick your first round drafting not number one because he was the second pick Their first round draft pick in ' 84 at offensive tackle William Roberts
1:52:30
bounced around couldn't play tackle was constantly giving up sacks They moved him to guard He was a backup ultimately
1:52:37
moves in at left guard and the two of them form a unit But it was also let's keep in mind the running game that they
1:52:42
had the tight ends that they had the receivers that they had the game plan that they put together maximized their ability I think the Giants and you
1:52:49
brought it up a not recently but in some things that we've talked about where they're constantly chasing right every
1:52:55
year they look at they go "We need to fix this." So they go after we're reacting They go after that one thing
1:53:01
but that one thing is affected by everything else and when you didn't really It's kind of like you're
1:53:06
constantly changing out windows and you're changing out faucets but the foundation of your house sucks This all
1:53:13
started when they chased um with Barkley They thought they just if they had given Manning another another Right Right You
1:53:21
know and and we've ever since then we've been chasing and trying to plug holes It's been constant like that Then fix
1:53:27
the offensive line Just put Nate Solder out there and we'll get something We'll spend a lot of money on him Nate Soldier
1:53:32
Oh my god Soldier is the Kenny Gal of offensive lineman He made him the highest paid offensive lineman He had never been to a Pro Bowl and and and I
1:53:39
remember everyone was excited about it I'm like what and he was on the so excited about Nate Soul Anyways and it
1:53:45
was worse than he was way worse than he was in New England But um yeah we should probably wrap this up I I'm actually
1:53:51
having such a good time I didn't realize we were on so long So we could do this again at some point But um yeah No if
1:53:58
you have any other questions because we could we could just basically you know take it for six more minutes We'll wrap it we'll wrap it fully up Oh you want to
1:54:05
hit the two hour mark Well we don't have to I'm just You realize when people are on YouTube and they see see two hours
1:54:10
they go I'm not watching anything that's two hours long Are you nuts well they did because we just did the OTAA one and
1:54:15
that got 2100 views So let me just look real quick to see um that a lot of
1:54:21
people are bailing now Anyway so um did we miss anything a lot of good comments
1:54:26
here I think we probably missed stuff though Stuff on the defensive line Um I think
1:54:32
we can wrap it up So we have we we have banks coming up which we're going to record and release We'll I'll release it
1:54:38
that night once we're done Um but you know barring anything unforeseen it's it's it was supposed to be Tuesday They
1:54:45
got pushed back Um not not on not on our side And so we moved it back to Wednesday Um Eric's I don't know you've
1:54:52
mentioned or not mentioned but you've got some stuff coming up that's going to kind of We're going to play it I'm going on IR Yep I'm having surgery So we'll
1:55:00
play by the each of us now We I've had burn
1:55:05
We're good So we'll play it by ear but um but we'll we'll try to do some stuff after that Um and then I'm I'm actually
1:55:12
going to be in Vermont for the the week after that but I'm bringing my laptop so I'm going to try to put from from
1:55:18
Vermont on my laptop but we should be good And then uh then we start getting into July We've got some stuff coming We
1:55:24
got some people that we're trying to figure out to get on but then it's then it's going to be camp and and then I'm
1:55:29
looking forward to when we get to real stuff again We got tomorrow Tuesday is the first of two days of uh mini camp So
1:55:37
we got mini camp Tuesday and Wednesday and then everybody's gone until training
1:55:42
camp So So just everyone pray no injuries on Tuesday and Wednesday and
1:55:48
then everyone doesn't doesn't do anything stupid over the summer and then we get in the training camp healthy So
1:55:53
so far so good Everybody's been knock on wood right here doing it Everyone's been
1:55:58
pretty healthy So So with that um I'm going to ask I don't normally do this
1:56:04
and I've been watching some other people and they constantly do it They do it in their own chats afterwards and all this stuff and I don't I don't do it Uh but
1:56:10
if if you could we had over 2100 views of the video over the weekend but our
1:56:17
subscribers are only 1300 which means we're actually getting more views than we have subscribers Most people have a
1:56:22
lot of subscribers and then their views come in less than that but depending on how many they still a lot of views We're
1:56:28
getting more views than we have subscribers So if you haven't subscribed it's not like you're going to get you know we're not sending you stuff and any
1:56:34
of that good stuff just it just gives us it helps us with YouTube I want to thank the folks um our our our Tutoto from uh
1:56:41
from from Italy has been a super chat guy That's that's been really helpful This actually does cost money I mean we
1:56:47
do spend money on doing it It's kind of it's kind of fun but it's we want this to be a lot more So if you could just
1:56:53
make sure you like comment all that good stuff I really appreciate it It to help And uh we're gonna we're going to keep
1:56:58
going And pretty soon couple weeks from now once Eric's off the IR we're going to do another Poor Four Wednesday Uh I
1:57:05
think we've we've mentioned I've reached out to those guys We'll probably have the the two giant goofballs So that's
1:57:10
their show on And Eric did you want to plug um the other show i know they they they may still be going but either way
1:57:16
you can still watch it Um which show the New York Rush folks Do you want to drop that in there oh yeah Well New York Rush
1:57:23
guys have been been doing an awesome job like plugging us on Twitter and we and
1:57:28
and and I just want to encourage people to visit visit their their website I mean their YouTube channel and and watch
1:57:36
their content too So I mean they've been doing awesome and I I've got to do a better job of of of of reweeting their
1:57:43
their stuff and and liking their stuff And so they've been really good good for us I mean they're they're I I I think
1:57:49
we've got a good symbiotic relationship with them So agreed That's awesome All right Well with that I think we'll call
1:57:55
it a close We pulled out another two hours Every time we say we're going to keep it tight we don't and we don't So I
1:58:02
appreciate it and uh we'll see you guys on Wednesday uh with Carl Banks Everybody have a good night
