Welcome to our daily encounter with the Word of God! Today’s reflection is based on the readings from the Book of Genesis (Genesis 44:18-21.23b-29;45:1-5) and the Gospel according to Saint Matthew (Matthew 10:7-15). These passages highlight themes of reconciliation, mission, and God's providence at work even in the darkest moments. First Reading (Genesis 44:18-21.23b-29;45:1-5): In this powerful moment, Joseph finally reveals himself to his brothers, who had once betrayed and sold him. Rather than seeking revenge, Joseph is overwhelmed with emotion and acknowledges that God allowed everything for a greater purpose—to save lives. This reading teaches us about true forgiveness and trust in divine providence. What others intend for harm, God can use for good. Joseph’s heart shows us how faith opens the way to healing and reconciliation. Gospel (Matthew 10:7-15): Jesus sends His disciples to proclaim: "The Kingdom of Heaven is near." He instructs them to heal, cleanse, and cast out demons, relying entirely on God's provision. Those who welcome the disciples welcome Christ Himself; those who reject them reject the offer of salvation. Today’s Gospel reminds us that we too are called to mission—freely giving what we have received. Like Joseph, we are sent by God to bring life and peace, trusting that He walks with us and provides all we need. Reflection and Call to Conversion Both readings call us to be messengers of forgiveness and faith. Let us forgive from the heart, step into our mission with courage, and allow God to turn our wounds into testimonies of His love and grace. Feel free to share in the comments what spoke to your heart today. 📖 Daily Readings: First Reading: Genesis 44:18-21.23b-29;45:1-5 Gospel: Matthew 10:7-15
