Welcome to our daily encounter with the Word of God! Today, we reflect on the readings taken from the Second Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians (2Cor 12:1–10) and the Gospel according to Saint Matthew (Matthew 6:24–34). These passages invite us to trust fully in God's grace and live free from anxiety, with our hearts centered on His Kingdom. First Reading (2Cor 12:1–10): Saint Paul shares a profound spiritual experience, speaking of visions and revelations from the Lord. However, he emphasizes that despite such extraordinary graces, he bears a “thorn in the flesh” — a weakness that keeps him humble. In this context, God tells him: “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” This reading encourages us to embrace our limitations with humility, recognizing that it is precisely in our weakness that God shows His strength. True spiritual power is not about eliminating our flaws, but letting God transform us through them. Gospel (Matthew 6:24–34): Jesus warns about the impossibility of serving two masters: God and money. He invites us to trust in divine providence, reminding us that God takes care of the lilies of the field and the birds of the air — and He will take care of us too. Rather than worry about tomorrow, we are called to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. This passage is a call to trust. Jesus shows us that excessive anxiety distances us from faith and enslaves us. When God is at the center, everything else finds its proper place. Reflection and Call to Trust Today's readings call us to recognize that our strength is in God, and that true peace comes from trusting in His providence. Divine grace is enough to sustain us through all trials. And when we seek first the Kingdom, we find freedom, security, and true joy.
