Oct 26, 2026
U.S. stock futures rose on Monday, as the Dow Jones, S&P 500, and Nasdaq 100 indices were higher, following Friday’s lower close.
President Donald Trump ruled out an immediate U.S. attack on Iran, telling reporters, “The answer is no,” and adding, “There will not be a strike today.” Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei criticized Secretary of State Marco Rubio and President Trump on Sunday after Rubio accused Tehran of attacking commercial vessels in the Gulf region, while Baqaei pointed to comments purportedly made by Trump in May this year.
Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury bond yielded 4.99%, and the 2-year Treasury bond yielded 4.69%, at the last check. The CME Group’s FedWatch tool projections show markets pricing in a 90.6% likelihood of the Federal Reserve keeping interest rates unchanged after its October meeting.
The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE: SPY), the Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (NASDAQ: QQQ) and the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF Trust (NYSE: DIA), which track the S&P 500 index, Nasdaq 100 index and Dow Jones Industrial Average, respectively, were higher in premarket trading on Monday. The SPY was up 0.44% at $763.33, the QQQ advanced 0.77% to $709.80, and the DIA rose 0.39% to $523.39.
