The 17 Mile Area That BROKE California's Megalopolis
Despite what some individuals may think, the Greater Los Angeles area is currently growing. You may not see it in the inner city, but out in certain regions on the outskirts, you see cities like Beaumont, which has been the fastest-growing municipality in the state since 2010. But, there have been countless challenges related to growth in Southern California. It’s an extremely mountainous region, and you have to build around all of these, you now have to think about wildfires and where its smart or not so smart to put new planned unit developments. We have damage from Altadena on satellite now, so we can see, and it sadly was inpart caused by that location pushing into the mountainside. But lets take a look at another location, right between Orange County and San Diego, this totally undeveloped swath of land. This is a protected region with a fascinating history, and it has totally stunted growth in Southern California and caused several other challenges for the state. So today, let's look at Camp Pendleton
