This is our full POV of the Wandering River at Great Tides Waterpark, the all-new nearly six-acre water park on Norwegian Cruise Line's private island Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas. NCL didn't build a lazy river - they built an 800-foot, high-energy, dynamic river. It's faster than a traditional lazy river, with spins, currents, and an immersive tunnel that pulls you under. It's one of four zones in Great Tides - alongside Tidal Tower, Cliffside Cove with the industry's first cliff jumps, and Splash Cay kids zone. Great Tides officially opened September 4, 2026 during Norwegian Luna's sailing and features 19 waterslides total, plus swim-up bars and the new Great Life Lagoon.
