They have a very simple, elegant design. And yes, they include active noise cancellation

ANC is pretty decent actually so there two ways you can test ANC you can just turn on ANC and not give it any music and just hear how much things go down in volume But then when you give it some actual music to play ANC headphones tend to do a lot better

And this one, when you just enable ANC with that multifunction button, then what happens is that all of a sudden the lower frequency hums from your environment just vanish

But when you start playing music, then you find that it actually covers up a lot of the other environmental noise too

So give it some music, put it on medium volume, and you will absolutely be able to tune out everything around you, whether you're working from home, whether you're at school, whether you're in an office, or whether you're on an airplane or a train as part of your daily commute
