Hey guys! Just had a new statue arrive from Comic Concepts and it's Prime 1 Studio's Dante statue (Deluxe Version) from one from one of my all-time favorite games Devil May Cry 5. This one came with an absolute arsenal of weapon swap-outs!
Anyone else pick up Prime 1's Devil May Cry 5 statues? Let me know in the comments! I also have the Prime 1 Studio Nero and V statues on preorder, so I'll have statue unboxings of those coming to the channel when they arrive!

What's up guys, it is Kristen from Anime Collective, so I'm a super happy girl this week
0:04
because not only did my favorite band Ghost release a new song, but I also got in two new
0:08
shipments and two new statues this week. So I actually recently received my first statue from
0:14
Prime 1, and it was actually their 1 3rd scale gut statue, so I've been super impressed with
0:18
their statue so far, so obviously I couldn't wait to get this one in. I also recently unboxed that
0:24
one on the channel for you guys, and I'll include that link at the end of the video in case you want
0:28
to check it out, but I also have a lot more videos on the way of unboxings from Prime 1 Studio
0:34
including their Doom Slayer, and more on the way from Devil May Cry, including their V
0:37
Nero statues. Devil May Cry 5 is one of my all-time favorite games, so I can't wait to show you guys
0:43
this one. I mean, there's a ton of weapons with this one and a lot to get through, so let's get
0:48
into it. Before I show you guys the box and pieces, I want to give a shout out to Comic Concepts
0:53
because I purchased this statue from him, and it's actually the site I buy most of my licensed
0:57
statues from. They have amazing customer service, great selection, and cheaper shipping rates
1:02
especially if you are based in the US like me from studios like Prime One, Figurama, and more
1:06
But definitely check them out at the link in the description below because they are an awesome place to buy licensed statues from. To kick things off, I want to quickly show you guys the one box
1:14
this statue arrived in. It has images of the statue on the front and back, then images of ebony and
1:18
ivory on the sides while the Devil May Cry 5 logo is on the top. Inside there is a foam insert
1:23
separated into two sections. I had no breakages or damages to report, so everything was packaged
1:28
really well by Prime 1. And here's a quick look at the instruction manual which made assembling a
1:32
breeze, and they also included images of where the pieces were placed in the foam insert, so if you
1:37
move or need to transport the statue, you can easily see where the pieces go. Now I want to show you
1:41
guys all the pieces and their details. There's a bit to get through because of all the weapons the
1:45
DX version came with. So first up is Dante's body sculpt, and we've seen Dante's outfit change a bit
1:51
over the course of the five games, but there's one thing he always has an infinity for, the color red
1:55
and more specifically, long red jackets. This one shows him in his red jacket with a black Henley
2:00
shirt, his black belt with the belt buckle, leather pants, and brown boots, which are all accurate to
2:05
what he is wearing in Devil May Cry 5, which I love, but it's the details they added that impressed
2:09
me the most. His pants have been textured and painted to look like worn leather, and they added
2:13
in all the stitching details in those moto-esque looking sections look awesome as well. The ornate
2:18
belt buckle and button detailing are great on the pants too, and then they added the wrinkles and
2:22
folds in his pants, which are phenomenally done as well. They made it look like his Henley shirt
2:26
is tucked into his pants, and they even gave him some chest hair as well. His red jacket is where
2:31
they really shine though. It really looks like his jacket is stitched together in areas, and the
2:35
shoulders are done really well also. It also is sculpted to make it appear as if the bottom of his
2:39
jacket is flowing up behind him, which makes the statue look more dynamic. And then you have his
2:44
boots, which have all these strap and buckle details the way they got this one to look as if
2:48
his foot is bent is amazing. All around and everywhere you look, Dante's body sculpt features top-notch work from Prime
2:53
One Studio. Up next is Dante's portrait, which is spot on. It looks just like him which is always the first thing I look for when buying a statue The eyes have a gloss to them that make them look more realistic and they added that furrow in his brow The expression and smirk is exactly what we expect to see from Dante
3:09
so they hit that out of the park as well. And the facial hair actually looks real also
3:13
I was amazed by the level of quality of detail on Guts' portraits, and I am amazed yet again with Dante's
3:18
As far as the hair goes, I personally don't have any issues with it being sculpted
3:22
because it would be really hard to get Dante's hair right without using synthetic hair since it's so flowy and long
3:27
I personally wasn't about to pay $4,299 though to get that black label statue with the synthetic hair
3:34
Granted, that one has a much larger scale and has a lot that's different about it, but in my opinion, the head sculpt on this one is super realistic for a fraction of the cost
3:42
I think what they achieved with the hair by sculpting it though is really well done, even though it was something I had to get used to at first
3:48
There are a total of three arm swap outs that come with this statue. The first shows him holding ivory, and I'll show you the up-close details of that one
3:54
when I show you guys all the weaponry, but they even included veins on all of his arms
3:58
and the paint job all around is really nice. Another arm shows him doing that, like, come at me pose with his hand
4:03
I really love the way the statue looks with this one in particular because it adds more personality
4:08
But you can see the glove details here and all the different textures they achieved, from the leather to the cloth to his skin and the zipper details
4:14
Everything is just done so exceptionally well. And the third one is this straight out arm pose that is used to display different weapons
4:21
Up next is the weaponry, which the DX version comes with an absolute arsenal
4:25
but these first four I'm going to show you come with both the standard and deluxe versions
4:29
First up are his pistols, ebony and ivory. By the way, all the weapons come with hands that are sculpted directly onto them and key into his arms
4:36
Since he has a glove on, you can't see any seam lines, which is nice. Both pistols have text decals that are accurate to what we see in the game
4:43
and the portraits on the grips are added as well. But I absolutely love the way these look when they are on display
4:48
and I also love how they sculpted his hands if they're about to pull the trigger. The next weapon is the shotgun or Coyote A
4:54
but it has the double barrels which are painted to look like metal and you have these wood textures as well
4:59
When this thing faces you, it really looks like you're staring down the barrel of a shotgun
5:03
Honestly, despite its scale, I don't even like standing in front of this thing because it looks so realistic
5:08
But I think this is the weapon that adds the most depth to the statue, so keep that in mind if you're looking to display the statue with this one
5:14
It also comes, of course, with Dante's signature sword, Rebellion, actually two versions, one that can key into his back and another that he can hold. They are unique
5:22
because they are made fully out of diecast metal. Because of this, they really shine nicely in the
5:26
light. The skull details as well look really cool, especially the horned demon skull. One thing I will
5:31
say is that I had trouble putting the one that keys into his back on, just somewhat finicky to
5:35
get that into his back, so something to keep in mind and be careful that you don't hit the bottom
5:39
of his jacket while doing so. This small skull here keys into Dante's back to hide the notch that
5:44
Rebellion keys into when you don't have it on display, but this was a smart way to hide that
5:48
on the statue. Alright, so up next is the main reason I got the deluxe, all of the extra swap
5:53
outs, so these next ones are deluxe exclusives. First up is the rocket launcher Kalina Ann 2
5:59
This thing looks like it would cause some mayhem like its title states it would They added decals to this one that match what is seen on the one in the game which are an awesome touch The overall look is really accurate and the way they achieved the pattering seen on it is nice as well Oh and the spear at the front is made of die metal and it is removable
6:16
Dante's Devil Sword also came with the DX version and the way they got this sword's cracked lava look is unbelievable
6:21
It just looks and feels like raised lava rock. The red jewel on the pommel of the sword is painted in metallic paint to give it the appearance and shine of a jewel
6:29
The talons as well as the feather and heavily scaled looking skin that make up the handguard
6:33
of the blade look realistic as well thanks to the texturing and paintwork
6:37
Sparta is the third weapon that you get with the DX version and it is shown in its awakened
6:41
state which I'm happy about because it's way more elaborate than its force edge form
6:45
It has this metal looking skull pommel and then you move to the blade itself and it has
6:49
this organic looking material covering it with a red and green jewel embedded in it
6:53
The actual blade is made to look like it's been hammered to have texture and then you you have the bones that align down the backside of the blade and almost look like a spine of sorts
7:01
Again, all of the different textures here they use to make each individual element look real is
7:05
incredible whether it be organic or inorganic, all the way down to the skull pommel. Finally
7:09
the deluxe came with a red orb. The way they got this crystalline effect by casting it in clear
7:14
resin is nice and I like the blood red color they painted it in. The base they added to it is detailed
7:19
thanks to the linework they included so it looks great when displayed alongside the statue
7:23
This is one of the feathered wings of the Yampusa that you add to the base. One thing I'll say is that you can see a seam line when you key this into the base
7:30
but I'm glad they sculpted this separately because if they didn't, it almost assuredly would have came broken during shipment
7:35
With that said, I'm not all that upset about the seam line because it was a smart decision to make it this way
7:40
but the colors are bold and I love that the paint changes from deep to light blues
7:43
and the feather details are flawlessly done as well. The Yampusa's hands also came separately sculpted
7:48
They have this almost human-like appearance to them in terms of their structure that has always creeped me out, and they added a gloss finish to these as well as some blood
7:55
speckle details that look great. The base came with a ton of detail on it because it has an
7:59
impusa whose head has been split in half in the kleepoth roots. I want to start with the impusa
8:04
because this is one of my favorite things about this statue. It's absolutely grisly looking with
8:08
all three faces and the pinchers and the way they painted it gives it this slimy, glossy look
8:13
It's even more gruesome with the blood and the split in its center of its head. The way they
8:17
achieved that split open look is incredible because you can see the halves of its brain and
8:20
they look mortifyingly real. The spikes on the head are all sculpted nicely too. Also adding a
8:25
strong look to the base are the kleapoth roots which are wrapped around it. The paintwork on
8:29
these roots is top notch, the shade of the blue and the red they chose are bold, and these make
8:33
a statement. I love the color they add to the more realistic look of the statue and they have just an
8:37
otherworldly look to them with the sheen and the vain details they added to make them pop
8:41
The base itself though is made of rocky earth and various broken pieces of rubble and metal or rods
8:46
that further hone in the fact that a fight just took place. But all of these additions on the base
8:50
are great and further set the scene. Now that we've taken a close look at all the pieces, let's assemble the statue
8:55
As Brad's assembling, I want to give my review of this statue. As always, I mention specific issues in regards to paintwork or sculpting if there are any
9:02
which luckily nothing to report here, as well as any seam lines that may be visible as I'm
9:06
showing you guys the pieces but I want to talk about my overall thoughts on this one First off no big issues to report about assembling everything keyed in where it was supposed to and fit properly Only thing I mentioned prior though is that the rebellion that keys into his back was a little finicky to get
9:19
into the notch fully. Not a huge issue because it eventually fit, but just something to keep in mind
9:24
All in all though, this statue was easy to assemble. In regards to concept and design
9:28
I personally prefer this statue of Primelands Black Label Statue of Dante. I like the pose he
9:33
is in better in this one. I'm personally not usually a fan of museum-like poses though, so this
9:37
is something that is definitely subjective. Also, the base detailing is just really nice and I love
9:41
all of the more gruesome details on this one and the paintwork and the texturing is incredible
9:46
By the way, this one is in 1-4 scale whereas the black label is in 1-2 scale and this statue's
9:50
price starts at $1,149 for the deluxe and $8.99 for the standard whereas the black label starts
9:56
at $4,299 and the cheaper version, the High Definition Museum Masterline Dante, is $2,699
10:03
Bottom line though, this one is such a high quality statue that has a ton of details on it
10:07
and the likeness is spot on, so I actually recommend just going with this one. For me
10:11
I always look for a statue that really celebrates the character and the series they are from and
10:15
this one and Dante does just that. It highlights the feel of the game and Dante looks as if he was
10:20
pulled out of the screen and brought into the real world. Overall, another beautifully made
10:24
statue from Prime 1 Studio and now I really can't wait for the rest of the Devil May Cry 5 statues
10:28
I have on pre-order to arrive. We'll be right back
11:54
And that's it guys, my full unboxing and review of Prime 1 Studios' Dante Deluxe statue
12:05
Next week I have a review and unboxing of Jemmae Palace's Kakashi coming to the channel, so stay tuned for that video
12:11
Thanks so much as always for watching, hope you guys are having an awesome weekend, and I'll see you next week
