Turn your phone into a microscope with Science Wiz, NY Toy Fair 2018

Hey everyone, it's Doug here for AIPT and I'm here at Science Whiz

Alright, hey how you doing? So Science Whiz, we do science kits, we were STEM before it was even called STEM

It does. How does that work? I'll show you. Great. So first up, you just pull up your camera app

It's good to have it in the selfie mode. And you take the clip-on microscope, which has a light source attached to it

You turn on the light, put in your slide, and then I think it's helpful to actually

slide open to find the actual light source. And once it's on there and you can kind of see it, then you can move the lighting to

get it right into, right into place. That's great. We've got a light source from above which is interfering

All right, let's do it. Then you take a picture and then you go to your camera mode and then you can crop that

And all you're doing is just using what's right inside of your own camera

You can edit that. You can crop that down to size. Just take the portion that you want

And then, it's even cooler, you can enlarge it to make it bigger

So you can get into some of the finer detail. All with using your camera app with the clip-on microscope

No other software is necessary. No other app downloads are necessary. The slides come with it

We make the slides available. We have four different versions. Insect biology, animal biology, plant biology, and then a set where you can make your own. Beautiful

Planting things around on the ground and what have you. That's tremendous
