Unboxing The Dark Knight Returns 30th Anniversary Box

Welcome AIPT followers. As you know, the site and I love the Dark Night Returns

We did a two-part review of the recent animated series or movie and compared it to the graphic novel

So check that out. But before you do, let's take a look at a Dark Night Return

30th anniversary unboxing. DC Comics was gracious enough to send me this box of goodies

all in relation to the Dark Night Return's 30th anniversary. So, inside the box is another box and it is quite nice. It's a black box

box and it has this nice opening and we open it. Ooh, it has this nice image for

Frank Miller did from the original Dark Night Returns inside the entire box. Giant

actually. D.C. Sonos information on everything that's inside it. All right, let's

what we got here All right to start we have the dark Dark Night Returns 30th anniversary edition graphic novel This just came out I believe February 24th And it collects not only the story but there is an interview with Brian

Hezarello and Frank Miller talking about the recent Dark Night Returns master race

There's also original... original illustrations Frank Miller did cover pages from the actual graphic novels

It's really cool. And then we also have... This is actually really cool

We've got the original proposal for the Dark Night Returns that Frank Miller wrote up for DC

which is really cool. Definitely going to give that a look. Alright, so we also have the sequel

The Dark Night Returns Again, which is pretty cool. I don't think this is a special edition

for the 30th anniversary. Let's see, we also have, okay, so DC is putting together hard covers

for the DK3 Master Race series. This is the first two, I think there's gonna be eight

Let's see, let's take a look inside these. So there gonna be eight of them and here number one And actually if you look at the spine it going to turn into an image

Anyway, let's open this up. So this is obviously the single issues, but in hardcover

So this is the regular, this is just the issue. But then..

What's really cool is the mini comic inside each single issue here. single issue here is presented in full page which you're not going to get from the single

issue so that's really cool. All right and that's number one and then the covers are

obviously generally. Here's two. So yeah, eight total so I guess a hardcover for

each issue. All right. Let's see we have this cool journal that looks like moleskin with the

Dark Night Returns title and interesting logo here. Alright, so we have one more thing in this box

What could it be? What could it be? Well, oh, it's a statue

Here's the box. It looks about, it actually probably says, 5 inches high. It's a bust

Let's crack this thing open and see what it looks like. Let get my smartphone land Oh dog tape Oh easy to open

Oh, good. This big little box, I thought it would be bigger than this

Woo, it's heavy. It's really heavy. Alright, pretty good detail on this

It definitely feels really sturdy, really nice. I'm not a huge statue person, but the way the bat symbol kind of pops out, that's really cool

And the detail in the mouth and the eyes and the face, really nice

And it's also numbered. This is 605 of 3,000, so not a ton of these

But, whoo, it's got a nice weight to it. That is definitely not going to fall off a shelf. It's not so big that's going to take over your shelf either

Okay, so that's everything they sent me. And overall, pretty cool. Pretty cool stuff here

Especially the Dark Night Returns 30th anniversary re-release here because of the extra materials, but also these hardcovers
