Mauritania’s former president Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz sentenced to 15 Years for corruption

The trial, seen as a rare case of accountability for an African leader, also sentenced his son-in-law to two years for influence peddling and dissolved a family-run foundation. Six former officials were cleared.
