Hey E36 Fanatics, Steven here. Today I'm going to be part, or I'm going to be removing the front
0:10
bumper on a 1996 328i. It's pretty much the same thing for any E36 series vehicle. As you can see
0:19
here, there's a lot of stuff already missing. The front nose panel's gone, the hood's gone
0:26
the fenders go on door. I'm parting this car out so that is why all these parts are missing
0:35
I'm getting ready to remove the bumper as well, both bumpers. I want to make a video on how to
0:40
remove it. It's pretty easy to do and the fact that I have these missing pieces here won't affect
0:49
your removal of the front bumper. The first thing you're going to do is you need to remove
0:56
the toe cover which is right here and then you also need to remove this other panel right here which you probably need a screwdriver but mine was already loose So then pull it forward because it got those hooks so once you pull it out once you pull it
1:21
out in the front here you pull it forward so you don't break these plastic hooks here
1:26
and you can see behind it you got these two 14 millimeter nuts here and that is
1:34
holding in the bumper so you're gonna need to remove those that's the same
1:38
thing behind the toe cover plastic right here Get that out
1:52
Same thing two 14s well I believe they actually 13s but I don really care So next step you have wires I can see them from the top because I removed the headlights
2:21
and the nose trim, but you won't be able to do that. You'll have to get it from the bottom down
2:27
here. But here's the fog light that you will need to disconnect. Just pull it back of this
2:36
so normally there is a inner fender well here that is covering this whole space however i
2:50
previously pulled it when i was removing the fender uh because it was in my it was in my way
2:57
yeah so with the fender well you've got this one screw right here which I think I just tore
3:07
I tore the fender well through that you got this one screw here for the fender well and then at
3:13
the very bottom you have several screws here that you need to remove to remove the bumper so like I said I hate to do it to you but I already pulled the fender well before but it really easy like I said just
3:29
uh these this screw here and then there's several screws on the bottom of the bumper so you just got to go under the car
3:36
It helps to jack it up the front end up a little bit to get under there
3:41
So that's really it and then once you've gotten to that point
3:47
And you can see where the bumper actually slides into here. Into this clip right here
3:59
It slides into that. And it comes right off. Voila. And I'm not going to reinstall this bumper, obviously, because I'm selling this bumper
4:13
But if you were to reinstall it, it's very simple. It's literally the exact same way you removed it
4:23
There's nothing special you have to do. Hope you enjoyed this video. If you did, please like, comment, and subscribe
