He is one of the original Bhangra stars in the UK who dominated the music scene as lead singer with the dynamic and energetic PREMI GROUP and now lately as a solo singer. PREMI JOHAL and his band made his mark in 1983 with their first album ‘Chhammak Jehi Mutiar Da’. Since then they have given some of the biggest Bhangra anthems of all time such as ‘Tina O Tina’, ‘Giddha Pa Nikkiey’, ‘Nachdi di Gooth Khulgaye’ and many more. Here, PREMI JOHAL takes us on a short journey from the fields of Punjab to the bright lights of London……a journey that created one of the most formidable dance bands of our times.
