Hundreds of Schools in Northeast Ohio Close Due to Frigid Temperatures and Snow

More than 500 schools across Northeast Ohio, including Akron, Canton, and Lorain districts, have closed due to extreme cold and wind chills below zero. Colleges like the University of Akron and Stark State have also canceled classes. Warming centers are open as temperatures remain dangerously low.
