Dodgers Reach Tentative Agreement with Closer Kirby Yates

The Los Angeles Dodgers have reached a tentative deal with free-agent closer Kirby Yates, pending a physical examination. Yates, a two-time All-Star, recorded 33 saves and a 1.17 ERA in 61 appearances for the Texas Rangers in 2024. He will bolster the Dodgers' already strong pitching staff for the 2025 season.
