      <video:title>Cat tries to Open a Door</video:title>
<video:description>Zora, our cat, tries to open a door. Video is from 2008. Regarding this video: The original video was 20 minutes long. She did not enter the foreground of the video until 2 minutes in and didnt make her first jump until 6 minutes in. The final 6 minutes were completely devoid of attempts to open the door. Most of what has been cut out is when Zora is off-screen or barely visible in the mirror and not doing anything interesting. I think I cut out some bits where she is putting her paw around the bottom of the door and pulling, but most if not all of the cats we have have done that so I didnt include it. Regarding her technique: She has repeatedly and successfully opened doors with this style of knob, both opening inward and outward. Opening doors inward(like she is trying here) is more difficult for cats. Regarding this door: Shes never opened this specific door successfully because its almost never closed, but its the most convenient door for capturing her technique. There are only a few other doors that individually separate a single room from the rest of the house and they either have ledges too near the door for her to have to jump or not near enough to get a good view with the camera. Also, the mirror is somewhat helpful. Regarding Zora: Zora is a very small full-grown cat. We have 9 and she is easily the smallest of them all, yet shes the only one that opens doors consistently. She does this often enough that a trash can must be placed in front of a certain door so she cant open it at night. We have to keep it closed because our cat Lilly goes berserker mode on another cat Zelda and because Zoras brother Deku gets into the office and literally tears and chews the paper. We also have to keep our toilet paper in a drawer because of him.</video:description>
