If you can't access MeTV with an antenna, I have found the best free options so you can keep watching your favorite classic TV shows
0:09
MeTV provides a network program schedule right on its website, so I printed it out and reviewed more than 50 shows that the channel airs
0:17
And then I got down to work, searching free streaming apps to see if they also carried the same shows
0:24
And what I learned is that free streaming services carry some of the most popular content that Meadow
0:29
MeTV offers. Shows like The Honeymooners, the Andy Griffith show, the Dick Van show
0:35
Batman, Dragnet, many more too. But I also learned that some of these free apps are a lot
0:40
better than the others. From my research, the free streaming service Pluto TV carried 20 of the
0:47
more than 50 total shows from MeTV's schedule. Coming in second was Tooby. It had 18 of MeTV
0:54
shows. And that includes some shows that Pluto TV did not have on its service. Amazon's
0:59
FreeVee had 11 shows from MeTV's schedule, while the free version of Peacock had only three
1:06
but Peacock Premium subscribers could get access to a couple more. Based on my research, if you want to check out a lot of the content that MeTV offers
1:15
Pluto TV and Tooby are the two apps to start with. Here is an interactive chart on my website, MichaelSaf.com
1:22
It summarizes my findings. First, you see an alphabetized list of MeTV schedule that is on the left
1:28
And then to the right are the shows that Pluto TV, Tobe, Freevy, and Peacock carry
1:34
There's also this search feature at the top of the chart, and that way you can easily find any specific show that you want to watch
1:41
Now just keep in mind that shows come and go from streaming services all the time So I do my best to keep this chart updated and you can find a link to it in the description box below And you know the great thing about these free streaming services is that you can watch your favorite shows on your terms Episodes are available to stream on
2:00
demand so you're not tied to the live TV schedule. As you may expect free streaming services
2:05
are supported by advertising similar to broadcast TV, so you should expect to watch some commercials
2:12
although streaming services do have fewer than regular TV. And unlike Antenna TV with streaming, you do need an internet connection
2:20
With so many streaming options, I know it can get complicated just finding something to watch
2:26
But if you've got a Roku or another streaming media player, I want to show you a simple way to find content across multiple apps
2:33
Here's how it works. I've navigated to Roku's search feature, and then I can use the on-screen keyboard or the voice controls to search
2:41
for a show. For example, the Carol Burnett show and the search results displayed both free and
2:47
paid options that carry this show. And when you click through on a search result, I'll select
2:52
Tooby, it takes you right to the app and then you can start streaming your favorite show. Now
2:57
with the free services I talked about today, do not offer enough of the Me TV content you love
3:03
I've got two other options for you, but these are paid options. Live TV streaming services
3:08
Friendly TV and Philo both carry me TV. I've reviewed both of these services on this channel
3:15
and I even got the chance to interview the CEO of Philo. He is also a Facebook co-founder
3:21
Friendly TV is the cheaper of the two services, starting at less than 10 bucks a month
3:26
and Philo is 25 bucks a month at recording time. I'll have links below to both services and my full
3:32
reviews. If you found this video helpful, please give it a like, and let me know your favorite
3:37
streaming service for classic TV shows
