So my name is Francis Duruffet from AK Group. I'm in charge of the sales for the IT180 UAV
0:41
which is just behind us. This product is a mini UAV. It's unique because it's a contrary rotating system
0:48
It's weighting approximately 20 kilograms. It has a capacity of flying up to two hours
0:54
and taking payload up to five kilograms. So it's unique because we can take payload on the bottom of the UAV
1:01
but also on the top of the UAV. It has capacity to withstand the very harsh environment like wind gust
1:08
up to 60 or 70 kilometers per hour. In addition, this product is now available in a touch-up version
1:16
On the back of a truck, it's fully automatic. The operator inside the truck just pushes a button
1:23
and he doesn't have to go outside the truck. And then the roof will open
1:27
The UAV will slowly pop up above the box and then he will start turning, rotating, and then he will climb
1:36
He will take off. After that, it's less than three minutes. After that, you have your UAV in the air for a duration unlimited
1:45
because it's fitted by the power plant which is inside the box
1:49
So you can stay in the air at an altitude of up to 150 meters
1:54
as long as you want to make observation, surveillance of a very sensitive area
2:00
It's what we call the virtual mast. It can be used also as a radio relay
2:05
So it's a multi-operation, multi-mission solution which is unique because the same product, when you come back on the ground
2:13
you can remove the cable, put some battery, and then it's a standard and a normal UAV
2:21
EK Group designs and produces land robotics solutions in accordance with the operational needs
2:28
Our land robots are adapted to the size of the unit and to the complexity of the missions
2:35
As we are working with homeland security units, with military land forces
2:41
we are able to handle various missions such as reconnaissance, such as chemical and radiological diagnostics, and such as explosive neutralization
2:52
Our robots are configurable, that is to say modular, so we can plug and play various mission modules
2:58
to have a reconnaissance solution, an AOD solution, and a CBRN solution
3:05
Another important point is that we have a collaborative system. So through one single control unit, you can drive remotely up to four different robots
3:15
from the EK Group land robotics solutions. IGUANA, the brand new robot, is a response to the new threat
3:23
and the new terrorist mode of operation. As it can go inside a plane for a mission
3:29
for instance to recover a piece of luggage in the rack of an aircraft cabin
3:35
thanks to the long extension arm, the four flippers for the mobility
3:39
and the very narrow brief of the system. So here we have the Cobra, which is a mini remote control robot that can hold in a rucksack
3:48
It's very configurable. You can remove the wheels, you can have some tracks
3:52
Here is in a reconnaissance configuration with the camera. Here is in a counter IED configuration with a tiltable disruptor support
4:02
This lightweight robot is called the Chameleon. It is suited for AOD mission
4:07
It can hold the whole mission as the first task is reconnaissance
4:12
The second one will be the diagnostic mission using the arm in order to use an X-ray module
4:19
And then the neutralization thanks to disruptors that you can plug to the Chameleon
4:24
So the simulator we are showing here is called the MVS. It's an acronym for Military Vehicle Simulator
4:31
So it simulates an armored troop transport truck. It's composed of a fully immersive cabin with a closing door on a six-axis platform
4:40
The six-axis platform allows to reproduce all the attitudes and the movement of the vehicles
4:46
These are very specific vehicles with a specific behavior on the road
4:50
So it's important to have a very immersive system in order to reproduce the behavior of the real vehicle
4:56
On top of that, besides the very fine simulation and the very realistic and immersive simulation
5:02
we have a whole set of pedagogic tools that are integrated in it
5:07
So the key is to be able to train any crew from beginning to end
5:12
So someone with a basic driver license can come and train the crew
5:18
Another person with a basic driver license can come and follow the training program
5:24
and learn about the vehicle itself, so the different commands, how to operate, and also how to drive in traffic
5:31
These vehicles are very difficult to drive because they are armored, and you have to use the cameras to open the field of view
5:38
This requires very specific training because it's not natural at the beginning
5:42
So it's a part of the training program we have integrated here
5:46
Another program that is very important is tactical training or collective training
5:51
This is why here in Eurosatory we have brought other simulators, and they are all connected together
5:57
They all see each other in the virtual environment, so they can repeat some scenarios like escort or convoy or even ambush
6:16
Eurosatory is a production of ESO, the European Southern Observatory
